SINCE I WAS ACCUSED OF GOING ON RANTS AND HAVING MOOD SWINGS I JUST WANTED TO INCLUDE EMAILS AS FURTHER PROOF. START FROM THE BOTTOM
no proof is needed and you may also be interested to know that the package didn't even arrive at my local PO until today. My postmaster called me to tell me that the package arrived and has been turned around back toward NJ.
You may or may not have a refund coming since they did not get the package here until today.
In any event, I would appreciate my refund as I have not accepted the package and it's on its way back to you and even if it were to never arrive (no reason to think it wouldn't), your claim would be with them and not me.
again, sorry for how things went.
thanks,
brian

shipping amount came to $23.25 when I was going off memory I forgot a also mailed a large envelope that day.
I still have not received my cue back. according to the post office tracking info it is still in Naugatuck.
shipping break down was as follows $16.75 for insurance and $6.50 for priority mail. if you would like proof of this let me know I can take a picture of the receipt and send it to you.

please feel free to deduct the actual amount for shipping
according to usps (see chart below) insurance on this package is $12.70 for the $1200 value you declared.
add the $8 or $10 or whatever was the actual postage, and deduct that amount.
thanks,
brian

do you want to just call it $25? so i will have to refund you $940? is that good with you? let me know

what does your usps receipt say?
in my experience, priority with $1200 insurance should be under $20. typically,

brian i accept the situation as it is but it doesnt mean i have to like it or cant express my opinion. i offered to continue to negotiate with another cue involved and less cash but i guess your not interested. now i believe you sent me $965 via paypal what is a fair amount to accept back? i believe it cost me somewhere between $25-$30 to ship the cue. let me know asap so that i can issue you the proper refund when i receive the cue back.
thanks
ron

Ron;
Listen; I am not making any excuses or any moves. I told you the situation and you can accept it or not.
I have already spoken with my postmaster confirming I will not be accepting delivery of this package.
end of the story.
FYI, the package gets turned around same day it arrives and goes back to you.

the move im stating to is that a deal isnt completed unless both parties are happy which i am in total agreement with. your not even giving it a chance your just using that as an excuse. i would appreciate it if you could accept delivery so that the cue isnt flying around post offices for the next week.
im also open to working out another trade for a more expensive cue where a lesser amount of money is involved. cue is alrady at your door if you want to try and work something out let me know.
thanks
ron

your correct if you want to use the both parties are happy clause we dont have a deal. understand though in my opinion your twisting that around. but here is the problem. if you dont accept my scruggs cue today it might wind up in post office limbo. would you want your merchandise hanging around in post offices a few extra days? you will promptly receive your refund when i receive my scruggs cue back. is that fair?
this has been a complete waste of my time and money. i am not a well off guy and having to waste money on shipping and package materials ticks me off. we had a deal plain and simple. if there was something you found wrong with the scruggs you wouldnt hear one word from me. id simply say send me the cue back and a refund will be given. pulling a move like this really does leave a bad taste in my mouth.
I stand by my word and you will receive a refund the same day i receive my scruggs back. i know you can work paypal and get your money back whenever but out of principle when i have my merchandise back you will get yours.

wow, this is a change from our conversation last night.
the reality is that you and I don't have a deal and, honestly, there is no deal until both parties are happy in a trade, right? Or even in a straight out purchase, even.
Sorry for how this went, I really am.
Your ts cue was never delivered to me and is on its way back to you.
I would appreciate your being a good guy and refunding my paypal payment. As you probably already know, if need be, I can get the refund.
Thank you.

brian i was actually hoping that you would find another cue or 2 that i would consider as a replacement to avoid an issue. from what your telling me now that isnt possible so ill state my feelings on this ordeal.
during the time of our negotiations i was considering 2 other trade offers as well as a cash offer. i checked in with all parties via pm last night and all 3 people stated that they are no longer interested and found other cues. so because of this im potentially losing on 4 deals here. i was calm last night because i thought i would still work out a deal with one of these other guys but in a nut shell im now screwed.
so what should we do in this situation? you proposed a deal to me which i accepted without even counter offering. i held up my end of the deal by shipping on the agreed upon date. i think it is only fair that you keep your word and complete the deal. im sorry if your friends feelings will be hurt but business is business here.
if you would like to give him my # or az info if he still has interest in the cue maybe i can work out a deal with him.
strange situation we have here and im getting the short end of the stick from many angles.
let me know what you decide.
thanks
ron

Ron;
In from the tourney, got 3rd place - whoohoo. Jeremy Sossei won it, not surprised. I'm just happy to give a good account of myself every now and then.
as for the cue situation, I looked through all that I have and, unfortunately there are no other lower end steel joint 5/16 cues to work with. Only upper to high end ts cues are all that remain.
I feel like a jerk for causing you the inconvenience of mailing out your cue. As I said earlier, I will refuse del'y tomorrow per post office recommendation and it will automatically go back to you.
and you can deduct your shipping charge from my paypal refund.
my friend, Paul, will have his faith restored.
thank you again for your kind understanding.
I've never done anyone wrong in a deal, ever.
best,
brian kc
