Questionable/shady dealings here on az opinions wanted

so kevin do you now agree that i got hosed in more ways than 1?

whether it was on purpose (which i dont think it was) or unintentional anyone in my position would be angry with the way things were handled.

as i was told my business/issues is now with the post office they have my cue

I never figured you didn't get hosed. Please don't see my claiming Brian is no ogre in any way means that I didn't believe you got a raw deal. Getting the cue back is what you need to be whole. Were it me, I'd be on the horn with the Mgr of the PO where it looks like the cue is and be all about getting my cue back so i can be back to start.

You owe me $10 you dick, but I forgive the debt because I truly love you in a brotherly way.

Can't Brian go down there and get it and ship it back to Ron?

You say its all brotherly, yet you call me a dick. I've just seen very slow updates is all.

This has been said many times lately, not just in the WFS section either. The tracking info on packages is not always updated when an item arrives to a hub, and sometimes not at all ever. He could receive the cue tomorrow and it still show as only being excepted or returned. I have had this happen a lot both sending and receiving in the last year. I sent a cue to a neighboring state and 5 days later it arrived and still showed as being "accepted at origin location", or something like that.

Yup. 1/2 the time the employee can't find a scanner, or its broke. I've seen carriers at Christmas delivering stuff with no scanners simply because there weren't enough to go around.

They are broke.

bad deal

SINCE I WAS ACCUSED OF GOING ON RANTS AND HAVING MOOD SWINGS I JUST WANTED TO INCLUDE EMAILS AS FURTHER PROOF. START FROM THE BOTTOM

no proof is needed and you may also be interested to know that the package didn't even arrive at my local PO until today. My postmaster called me to tell me that the package arrived and has been turned around back toward NJ.

You may or may not have a refund coming since they did not get the package here until today.

In any event, I would appreciate my refund as I have not accepted the package and it's on its way back to you and even if it were to never arrive (no reason to think it wouldn't), your claim would be with them and not me.

again, sorry for how things went.

thanks,

brian

during the time of our negotiations i was considering 2 other trade offers as well as a cash offer. i checked in with all parties via pm last night and all 3 people stated that they are no longer interested and found other cues. so because of this im potentially losing on 4 deals here. i was calm last night because i thought i would still work out a deal with one of these other guys but in a nut shell im now screwed.

the post office is doing a real disservice.

Ron shipped the cue on Monday, May 5th.

It didn't arrive the approx. 100 miles to my local PO until Friday morning. I could have bicycled the package faster.

I did speak with the manager first thing this morning and he asked that I call back after 12 noon when Jenna, my previous contact would be there.

I did get her and she is looking into why, the ridiculous slowness.

She did say she was certain it left my po Fri morning - added the speculation that a temporary shut down at our main hub in Wallingford may be causing the slowness both ways.

The tracking info says it is not here at my po, but that it has been sent back.

best,
brian kc

Brian

That return to sender is just the status of the package. It became that when you set up the refusal. That has nothing to do with where the package is.

PO to hub is hours max, it was never scanned out of your PO and to the hub or for that matter, scanned into the hub. If everybody's scanners are working and if everyone is doing their job (2 big ifs) then the package is sitting at your PO. In any event, seeing its their scan that is missing, its sorta on them to tighten the situation up.

Also, if you could get them, when they finally do scan the thing, to kink the timing so it appears it was out of there prior to 12:30 today, there's a fiver in it for you.

I think it's time for you to find your big boys pants.

unfortunately, we cant include our phone calls, eh Ron?

Yes, you ranted - I guess I should have pushed record.

pretty sure you're not just interested in getting your cue back - it's more like a pound of flesh you're after.

Any interested backers, highest bidder gets me.

This is a very unfortunate situation for the OP. However this is getting kinda funny. In a seriousness though I hope you get your cue back soon. I would upset too!

bad deal

brian you accused me of going on a rant. since I don't have a cue I might as well defend my reputation.
you stated that I demanded you accept my cue. in emails I asked you nicely and explained why. you stated that we never had a deal emails prove otherwise. im not the bad guy and I don't think you are either. things could have and should have been handled differently.

if anything I said in this thread a lie?

even in our phone conversations I was civil. I never cursed at you or anything.

emails prove how I conduct myself even things aren't going my way.

my big boy pants are always on. I think im handling this situation quite well. I have done everything asked of me on my end. including your refund when you asked for it.

Ron,

You refunding Brian's payment before getting your cue back
speaks volumes about your character..

You got hosed period!

There was finally some movement in the tracking and the cue has been in and out of the hub that services Brian's PO and is on the way to the hub that services Rons. I would guess someone shook it loose out of the local PO today.

The next part is tricky. I've had my hub (on a return to me) spin it right around and send it back to the guy who returned it because it was actually still "addressed' to him.

Ron,

You refunding Brian's payment before getting your cue back
speaks volumes about your character..

You got hosed period!

After reading the emails, I can see more of how this could have been ironed out without all the hoopla.

Yes, Brian screwed up, but he did try to work it out. Ron hardlined him and Brian got a bad vibe from it. Brian's reaction was as if anticipating that Ron was going to be vindictive. In Brian's mind, Ron had both Brian's money and the cue coming back.

I don't know why Brian didn't just say "here is XXXX extra cash instead go buy a Jensen". He's got money and it's no biggie to him.

Ron was a big man for refunding Brian's money, no doubt, but he was probably aware that Brian may have had recourse through paypal anyway. Brian was nervous about Ron being vindictive. This mutual distrust and bickering escalated the situation and made it worse. Ron's negative reaction caused Brian to knee jerk and refuse the package, probably to cover himself.

I really don't think either one of these guys should be mistrusted. I think they are both very trustworthy. Perhaps they were a little too emotional. I really think they each read the other the wrong way. We have two good people here with the best of intentions. Ron was very disappointed and Brian was taken aback by the aggressiveness of his ron's reaction. Brian was clearly in the wrong and admitted it. Ron probably made the situation worse by considering no alternatives to the original deal.

Who was that guy who filmed the tube being delivered by the postman, and it was empty? That was hilarious.

That HAD to have been staged! (didn't it?) remember he had the shaky camera thing on the delivery person coming up the drive?

Classic AZ cue drama, but hey, what about you rolling kerplunk - pause - kerplunk wobbly that Palmer you received and uTubed it as your response to the seller telling you the cue was straight when he sent it?

TRUE CLASSIC STUFF

And yeah here, 2 super fine guys get stuck in some circumstances and it gets a little shitty. I do believe that this is the definition of "shit happens". All you can do is hope nobody gets hurt and try to escape the situation without adding more hate into an already hate-choked world.

Not staged, Trent is also the guy who another time wanted to send the components to a cuemaker of choice for final assembly & finishing,
instead of just sending the guy back his money.
That was the lamest offer by a cuemaker (so-called) I have ever heard.
The Meridian Blades deal was pretty lame, but he did bring up the famous "buzz" up front, and he offered to build another cue.
Cuemaker's don't want to assemble another guy's mess.
I know cuemakers that would do it, but it would be under duress for sure.
Neither one of those cues was ever going to be properly completed by Marley Cues aka Trent.
