I'm not sure, but I think MANY people on this forum don't "real eyes" just how well you play TODAY!
I have made it a habit to watch as many of the professional players' matches as I can and I have seen some of yours, up close, and you still have a TOP-TOP, PROFESSIONAL GAME.
I am still amazed at the weeping and wailing and gnashing of teeth that goes on when you mention any of your techniques. It is even more amazing that you don't give your haters a tongue-lashing that they deserve. Credit to you for having great tolerance.

There you go again trying to cause divisiveness on here. Anyone that disagrees with any iota of what the great CJ says is a hater and deserves a tongue lashing. No one is allowed to voice a differing opinion. While CJ is allowed to say anything, whether it makes sense or not, just because he can play. Get over yourself Joey. Don't worry, your hero isn't going anywhere. What is amazing is that you toss all the teachings of Dr. Dave, Bob Jewett, Mark Wilson, and others that have spent years studying the game in favor of someone that doesn't even know what english is.
And since it's been lost on your myopic view of things, no one has said that toi does not work at all. Dr. Dave even has an article on it. Even I have said in this thread that it has it's place. But that is it, it has a place in the game, just not all over the place, and not used as often described on here by some.
Thinking like yours and a few others on here has no place in anyone that truly wants to learn and get better. The fact that you compartmentalize who said something, instead of what was said, will only hold you back. That kind of thinking shows a certain lack of intelligence and is more fitting for the NPR political posts. Any intelligent person will weigh what has been stated and go from there. A less intelligent person will dismiss whatever was said because of who said it, and praise whatever was said because of who said it without giving it due diligence on it's merits. Which type of person do you want to be??

This may not be the thread, but it seems to be getting a lot of reads...so I guess I will play here.
Someone posted something about fooling around on the table with a stick that has no tip to develop skills at hitting dead center ball. Since I am naturally curious, I had to try it out.
I pulled the old "tomato stake" cue out of the garden (after replacing it) and washed off all the dirt and crud. Sanded the whole thing again, the end of the shaft as well and made it ready for the table.
Let me tell you, workouts with that thing will FORCE you into getting better at center ball hit, in spite of yourself.
It is a great discipline and practice tool. I really like working with it for about 30 minutes a day, before picking up the regular cue with a tip on it.

Please don't quote me as a lead in for another add on what you are selling. And, since when does making a DVD equate to the person knowing what they are talking about? There are plenty of DVD's out there to prove just the opposite.

That reminds me of the time I played the guy in Detroit with "THE STICK"....you may have read the story, he actually made me play with a cue with no tip and no ferrule.....pieces of "STICK" were flying off when I was breaking, and I got nervous that I may "run out of STICK" before the gambling match was completed.

Just remember: YOU are the one that stated that putting spin on the cb is not english. Then YOU went on to explain yourself by stating that english is putting spin on the cb, but putting spin on the cb is not english.
