thank you to CJ Wiley for teaching, learning, growing and sharing!

No it's actually very creepy, he seems a bit obsessed

Are you really that desperate that you have to call someone creepy just because your "mentor" did? (remember, he NEVER has called anyone names on here, so I must assume someone else took over his account today) I'm creepy because I actually read what CJ wrote.....you might just have something there......nah, not creepy, just enjoy the chuckles I get when I read them.

By the way....isn't that why he writes them? So that people actually read them? Or is it just fluff to put up another add?? hmmm...he did say someone had to be creepy to read what he wrote.....

So, I'm creepy for reading what he writes, and then pointing out a few facts. Wonder what that makes you for having to post about what I posted?? Are you obsessed with me? Is that how you think it works?? Must be...since you only ever seem to call me out when many are saying the same thing.

"you're just like the rest of us....a little bit of both!"

I like that Breakers tournament, is Ricky Byrd still there? Last time I played there "Dippy Dave" was putting on a seminar .....I'll never forget when I took him back to his hotel for more money, he looked at me as I was driving and said "So, CJ, what do you think, am I a sucker, or am I a hustler?"

I glanced over and said without hesitation "you're just like the rest of us....a little bit of both!"

I apologize to my biggest fan for not being more specific

5 Eight Ball and 4 Nine Ball Tournaments......I apologize to my biggest fan for not being more specific.

Yesterday it was 5 in a row, today it's 9 in a row. 4 tournaments in a day. Actually, in only 13 hours! wow! I'm impressed!

Were there any other people besides you playing in them?

Well he's not my mentor, just a friend. As far as what I am, just a person offering an observation, not a judgement. As far as you go, you're right, many don't subscribe to his philosophy, you on the other hand are vehement about it. While I don't own his videos, I subscribe to the philosophy. It's nothing new, playing in this style has been around a long time. Is it for every shot, no it's not, but if you're gambling, for A LOT of hours, it's an invaluable anchor. Guys that spin the ball around the table tend to come up short or long after 10-12 hours, it fails you as you tire. Playing in this style, same stroke, same speed, same simple off the rail natural shape, this doesn't fail you, it demoralizes your opponent. While his consistency is failing, yours becomes stronger, it gets you paid. It's clear you're one of its strongest detractors, it's not what you know or teach or how you believe the game should be played, I think everybody gets that. Constantly following a guys posts & threads with no other intention other than to spew vitriol & be negative, hmmmmmm, a little over the top, just sayin'.

Then why are you doing it to me?? I didn't call names, like you and CJ did, I simply asked a question. Which he has now responded that he did indeed play in and win 4 separate tournaments in 13 hours. (of course, you are free to believe that if you want to). Strange how anyone that questions the things he says are labeled as haters and spewing venom on here. What a strange world you must live in. But, there are several "spewing" things on here. You can count yourself among them.

Let's see...thank you to CJ Wiley for teaching, learning, growing and sharing! Yeah, I'm in the right thread.

Best,

My post had nothing to do with anything about tournaments. It seems now that you're aware I'm an advocate of this style of play that to you I'm just a lemming on the CJ bus. Funny I believe it was you who pm'ed me complimenting me on my posts in threads relating to the Mental Side of the game saying I quote "you're one of the few on here that get it", now I'm a idiot, you're a real piece of work. As I said Neil this style of play isn't new, it's been around a long time but CJ is one of the few persons I've ever seen try to teach it to a large group, sharing knowledge is a good thing, good karma, positive. These threads are of interest to a large group, this one in fact is titled around those giving thanks for his sharing of knowledge. Why not let the people interested in doing so have their thread? Is it necessary to visit every thread on this subject to put a downward spiral on it as you tend to do because you don't put stock in it? There's got to be something better to do, contribute something in a thread where you agree with the subject at hand? You've got a right to disagree man, but it's like you're on a mission to do so. At any rate this threads supposed to be about those that are thanking him as the method he has imparted to them has helped their game. I think it's great what he's doing, so I'll part here on that thought, have a great day Neil. 😎

Amazing what happens when the touch of inside "clicks" into high gear.

It's ironic isn't it? These type threads bring out the "best," and "worst" in people.

We could give some of these "critic fans" a winning lottery ticket and they'd accuse us of a "hidden agenda".....oh, well, it takes all kinds to make up this world, and frankly, it would be boring if there weren't eccentric behaviors.

Meanwhile, I've made some really cool discoveries I'm going to share in the weeks to come.....pool is fun again, I forgot how much fun it is to get the TOI up to it's highest levels playing 8-BALL.... amazing what happens when the touch of inside "clicks" into high gear, the game seems to open up like a present. The "shortstops" around here are capable of beating any champion player a race

Yes, of course they're all local tournaments.

Rusty's Billiards has two weekly ones on Tuesday and Wednesday with break contests from $200 (on Tuesday) to $500 (on Wednesday). 'Volcanoes" has three weekly tournaments, 'Diamond Jims' has a couple and there's two or three on almost every night of the week.....Dallas/Ft. Worth is booming with pool action and players these days, mostly in tournaments.

The "shortstops" around here are capable of beating any champion player a race to 9.....players like Coy Lee, Erman Bullard (who ran 24 documented racks in a row!), Dylan, TJ Davis, "Fast Philip", "Coleman", "Super Steve", "Stormin Norman" Mike Christopher, "Skinny" etc.

"4th place in the 9 Ball" Tournament 2 weeks ago...........so you've won 4 straight 9 Ball tournaments since then? Must be knocking off the local, weekly tournaments around your area. If so, good shooting........but don't you feel a little guilty picking on the shortstops?

Want to sell a ton of DVDs? Knock off that tournament coming up in October in Chesapeake, VA. :)[/QUOTE]

As I said Neil this style of play isn't new, it's been around a long time but CJ is one of the few persons I've ever seen try to teach it to a large group...

Watching top players years ago was the reason I was interested in TOI. We called it, "the stroke where the spin wears off." We all knew how to use inside spin and every other kind of spin. There was something different about the way the cue ball moved naturally around the table on certain shots.

I was spinning a couple of extra rails and some players were barely moving the rock and getting tough position. I used to sit (rack, too) and watch Dave Yeager run 4 and 5 packs in 9 ball on the big tables using this method. It didn't matter what he spotted me because he always ran packages. I was running ones and twos and he was still pulling away. I'd stop him in the middle of a rack and ask him how he did something and he'd just smile and say, "lucky roll". He never gave it up and I tried to get it out of him. :grin-square:

He'd say cryptic nonsense and some of it relates to TOI, but at that time I just scratched my head. There were top players asking him, too, but he'd just smile and say very little. He was from the Buddy Hall stable and you'd have a better chance hitting a lottery than getting any info from those guys. And I even backed him, that bastitch! :grin-square:

Best,
Mike

1. I call them like I see them. Just because you post something good one day, doesn't mean you won't post something stupid the next day. I don't play favorites or friends on here. I'm about truth, and I fully understand that ticks off a lot of people on here. Especially some that are only here to sell stuff.

2. I am very far from posting in every thread CJ is in or is about him. Not even close. So, why spew that garbage?

3. Contribute something? Thanks for the laugh. When are YOU going to contribute something?

4. I'll ask again, why get on me, and not the many others that have said something on this thread?

My game isn't 100% (compared to 90's) however, it's a solid 95% now which is a pretty good sign. Some may say it's 97% considering I won my 5th tournament in a row last night.

The important thing is I'm absolutely enjoying the game and interacting with players and enthusiasts again. I have many people on AZ BILLIARDS to thank for this because it has to with all the participation in the last 14 months......I've made almost 8000 posts and interacted with tens of thousands of players by PM, FaceBook, YouTube, and Email.

Also the 'Touch of Inside', 'Billiards Inside Secrets' and 'TIP Banking Secrets were actually directed primarily at the AZBILLIARDS participants that wanted access to some of the more advanced methods used by myself and other road players I played and traveled with.

Overall it's been a Blessing to be involved on this forum and the best is yet to come. If all goes with well with my current project we'll be seeing pool on TV more in the next year than we have in quite some time. 'The Game is the Teacher'

Yeah, too bad none of my "critics" gamble, or I'd offer them a game they couldn't refuse.

I was lucky enough to win my 9th tournament in a row tonight AND hit the "Break and Run" contest for $1000. - my game's back to about 96-97%....I'm not sure what it's going to take to get back to 100% without consistent action.....maybe it's time for a 'road trip" ......anything happening in New Orleans?

He reads ALL of my posts....it's just "slightly" creepy. ;)

What's actually creepy is you telling lies and then concocting a story to make it look as if someone else is "creepy".

The point of mentioning local tournaments is to thank and show my gratitude to you

So which is it? 5 in a row, or 9 in a row? There is a difference between local 8 Ball and 9 Ball tournaments, and I'm sure you can figure that one out on your own ;)

These tournaments are in DFW and well documented, so all anyone has to do is call Rusty's Billiards in Ft. Worth Texas, CK's in Dallas, or Volcanoes Bar and Billiards to find out.....it's not "top secret" by any stretch of the imagination.

The point of mentioning local tournaments is to thank and show my gratitude towards all of you on AZBILLIARDS that's helped me get my game back together....answering questions, describing techniques and demonstrating my "road/gambling secrets" has made me fine tune my own game, so I can be more effective in my own teaching, playing and future instructional books and videos.

I started teaching tennis at the age of 12, and looking back I didn't "real eyes" that teaching would be my forte. In 1994 I was awarded a "2nd Degree Black Belt" and given an honorary Instructor position.....for the last 20 years I've merged Martial Arts, Tennis, Golf (studying under Hank Haney, Tiger Woods former coach) and Pool into a combination that I would have never dreamed possible (when I was starting pool at age 7).......it's been quite an adventure, and what's really cool is the best is yet to come.....for all of us that have pool in our hearts with passion. sure they'd share beginner stuff about stoke, stance, position play, and bridges etc

You are exactly right, back in the "good ole days" the top players would not share their advanced systems and techniques.....sure they'd share beginner stuff about stoke, stance, position play, and bridges.....however, they'd keep the "inside" stuff off limits.

I have given credit to my mentors every chance to show my appreciation towards them for sharing (when we were road partners) what they knew in an attempt to make me a better player (so they could "pimp me out" and make lots of money betting on me LoL).

Once again, I must ask you.. Do you ever bother to check your posts for blatant discrepancies (aka; falicies, exagerations, BS etc.) BEFORE you hit submit ???..Some of your content, is so flaky, and disjointed, that one must question the sanity of your supporter's (both of them :embarrassed2:)...Small wonder, a large portion of your rhetoric, is spent defending YOURSELF !

One may get the impression, you are after 'quantity' instead of 'quality', and just love seeing your half page logo, as often as possible !..I doubt I could have tolerated your arrogance, for over a few hours, But, If I had ever 'mentored' you, I would have taught you to keep your ears open, and your mouth shut !....Something you obviously NEVER learned to do..You seem to enjoy the taste of 'crow' !

I will just say this one more time.

I am someone who has learned from CJ's videos, posts, and replies to my questions. Some have a problem with his posts. That's OK, you are entitled to your opinion. My point is I have learned absolutely nothing from you that continue to bash him. If you have something to offer that will help us struggling pool players than lets hear it. Banter back and forth does not benefit anyone.

Question for CJ

You stated that Erman Bullard ran 24 racks in a row...what was the game...what was the size of the table and how was it documented? Seems that a feat of this magnitude would have made pool news!

Look forward to your stated documentation of this run

Thanks

I agree 100%.

It looks like some people on here have made it their mission to try to antagonize CJ and find fault with everything he says.

I haven't learned a SINGLE thing from ANY of them.

I don't subscribe to EVERY thing CJ or any pro says or recommends, but I try different things and keep what works for me and discard the rest.

TOI works! If it isn't for you, then find something that works for you and then share that knowledge with us.

Aloha.
