thank you to CJ Wiley for teaching, learning, growing and sharing!

I will just say this one more time.

I am someone who has learned from CJ's videos, posts, and replies to my questions. Some have a problem with his posts. That's OK, you are entitled to your opinion. My point is I have learned absolutely nothing from you that continue to bash him. If you have something to offer that will help us struggling pool players than lets hear it. Banter back and forth does not benefit anyone.

I agree 100%.

It looks like some people on here have made it their mission to try to antagonize CJ and find fault with everything he says.

I haven't learned a SINGLE thing from ANY of them.

I don't subscribe to EVERY thing CJ or any pro says or recommends, but I try different things and keep what works for me and discard the rest.

TOI works! If it isn't for you, then find something that works for you and then share that knowledge with us.

Aloha.

Do you two guys think CJ is some type of angel who never attacks anyone? Try reading this thread I started about Two Foul 9 Ball. http://forums.azbilliards.com/showthread.php?t=340453

Start with post #55 where I point out to CJ that he's hijacking my thread and not talking about the topic at hand. He goes back and "edits in" the words "two foul" so he can be correct.

I tried to help people understand the game and was roundly attacked (in a very nice way of course) by your hero. I tried to help newer players understand the game of two-foul and he dumped on the thread any chance he could so take your self-righteousness down the street and lay it on someone else.

The fact that you haven't learned anything from any of them is not their fault. That fault solely lies with you. Strange how you make not learning anything as some kind of badge of honor.

I was very interested in the recent discussions about 2 foul pushout. I'm gonna reveal my age when I say I cut my teeth on those rules during the 70's. I'm all for 2 foul pushout coming back in some way or another.

2-foul was the way I learned it way back in the 60s and 70s. It is a completely different game...FOR THE BETTER!

I wish they would have some tournaments with that format to see how the pros today would adapt.

if they play pool elsewhere in the universe let's hope they still play 2 Shot Rules

How can you not agree with a sweetheart like ONB?

I'm not sure it's accurate to say my knowledge of 'Two Shot Shoot Out' "was like no other in the universe," however, if they play pool elsewhere in the universe let's hope they still play 2 Shot Rules.....I will play anyone in the country "2 Shot" in Ft. Worth if anyone's interested (except Shane, Rodney Morris, Dennis Hatch, and Johnny Archer).

If you look back at my past posts, I didn't say "it's more complicated than one pocket," I did say 'Two Shot Shoot Out' takes more skill, and that's a fact! One pocket has too many uneventful innings that's too boring to interest mainstream fans.

Trying to battle a champion for the shot every game playing "Two Foul" takes much more skill, talent and shot making ability than a game where you're protecting one pocket......that's really common sense if you think about it. 'The GAME is the Teacher'

I have to agree somewhat with ONB in that it seemed CJ took over the discussion and was constantly making it sound like his knowledge of it was like no other in the universe........and that it was more complicated then 1-pocket, lol. I don't know about the rest of you that were reading those threads/posts, but it seemed he had an angle.......$$ via DVD, a reoccurring theme?

Once a hustler, always a hustler? But, as Minnesota Fats said, "we're all hustlin, aren't we?" :) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ekyLXFehvvk (2:00 min mark)

they will say "I hit both sides of the cue ball at the same time"

I believe it's pretty obvious by now my personal "critics" have nothing to offer. If you ask them how they make anything complicated they will say "I hit both sides of the cue ball at the same time"......and that's about all they will communicate (or say nothing at all).

I will continue to answer every question that comes across my PM, or email at thegameistheteacher@gmail.com - you can also see free videos at www.cjwiley.com and read stories about my road travels and many more instuctional blogs.

Thanks to everyone that attended last night at RACK DADDYS

Why is there any need to "attack anyone"?....for goodness sake this forum is about pool playing, not terrorism training. ;)

There were several threads about 'Two Shot Shoot Out' the prior weeks to yours....you know that!!! There's not any post I made that wasn't in the best interest of sharing knowledge that I have with other players/people that may be interested.

By the way, I won my tenth tournament in a row last night at "RACK DADDYS" in Dallas on Coit Rd (if anyone wants to verify it with Jennifer, the tournament director). I won the winner's side and thought I may get double dipped when I lost the first set "hill/hill"......then I caught a "second wind" and left my opponent on "0" the second set (like Efren, "I just got lucky").

Thanks to everyone that attended last night at RACK DADDYS - I was surprised how much gambling action there was - practically every table had money games ranging from one ring game, to several nine ball games to the one pocket game I had. Dallas and Ft. Worth are the pool playing capitals of the United States it appears. 'Texas Pool is the Teacher'

LOL, ill play anyone in the country...except those that will beat me hands down. Jesus that made me laugh.

it's a big country, there's got to be other players that will play.

I wouldn't bet on that if I were you......they're friends, and we've already all battled many times together......it's a big country, there's got to be other players that will play.

I appreciate that they may be friends, but that makes it more fun. But you can't state you will play anyone in the country, the follow it up on brackets with exceptions, even if they are friends.

"I will play almost anyone in the country" would have done just fine ;-)

CJ,

You have a solid fan base in this thread. The same half dozen pop in and out to give you verbal support and let you know, jokingly of course, that they're thinking about you all the time. I'd almost call them stalkers, at this point.

Congrats on the streak and good luck with it. I gotta get out there and start one of my own.

Best,
Mike

Aloha to you also old self -righteousness one according to ONB. And how about that Neil fellow and his badge of honor crap?

I don't see where we put CJ on a pedestal, we were just stating our opinions. You can see we don't have a right to our opinions because we are now attacked. I don't know about you but I'm a little to old to give a rat's ass about what they think. I'm only interested in the game and learning something to improve upon it. Like you I try a lot of different stuff. What works for me I use. I've tried See System, CTE/Pro One, and TOI to name a few. I can say I've used and learned from applying a little of all. I still say the CTE/Pro One is the toughest one to grasp. Still a work in motion.

Anyway thanks for your post. It was "spot on".

More B.S. from you. When you mentioned the double straight in combo, several stated how they would make it. Yet, when you specifically were asked how you would make it, silence. You want to get rid of your critics? It's real simple to do. All you have to do is stop with the B.S. and outright lies.

What a load of crap. Guess we aren't allowed to post our opinions, huh? If you don't care what we write, why post about it?

Thanks, I did that to get a response from you to prove my point. This crap, goes nowhere. I'm not learning anything useful from this banter. I'd rather hear what CJ has to say.

Hey CJ -- Now when I cut a ball to the left I use just a touch of inside? Seriously, I have your CD's and as I have said many times -- Thanks!

Then why do you and a few others keep on dragging it on? If you just let us have our say, that would be the end of it. ;)

just thought this should be said (I don't know him from Adam btw)

very few world class players do much for the game in any manner at all,

this guy shares knowledge and concepts, LEARNS...as a player,......continually, he actually grows and advances himself, teaches with super affordable rates and promotes at all levels including the awesome million dollar attempt (fiasco....???, lol;) at a solid pro tour

pool needs more guys like this

good for you CJ and thank you from a lifelong fan of the game

good God - WTH has happened to this thread in the past week?

last night was payout for Leagues (we came in 2nd @ $535). and Doodysquat/Jimmy was STILL bragging:
CJ WILEY TEXTED ME FOR MY BIRTHDAY!

If you went strictly by the title of the thread, the only ones that should be posting are the ones that wish to thank CJ. Those that wish to bash should start their own thread and then they could have at it. Irregardless, I've said my peace and I'm outta here.

"Long live CJ and TOI"

Over and out!!!!!!

I believe it's important to support the city's tournaments and help promote locally

That's right, Joey, it is luck that I've won 10 tournaments in a row using TOI on every single shot.....well, I may have hit outside of my TOI Target a couple of times. ;)

I saw a guy at CKs Pool Room in Dallas before I want over to RACK DADDYS, he's been using TOI for the last few months.

He ask with a sparkle in his eye "TOI has helped my game a lot and keeps getting better and better, why do you think that is?"

My response was simple "the fact is, when you know where you're going to hit the cue ball and how it reacts exactly, you can master it - it's better to a master of one type shot than a "jack" of many" -
mza_6147465224376010145.170x170-75.jpg
I heard this "jack of all trades, master of none" many years ago and it applies directly to my experience using TOI as my "master shot".

I should have taken some pictures from last night, it was a lot of fun. There were two representatives of OB CUES playing (they actually are woodworkers), another player raving about JB Cases, showing everyone several empressive designs (I may have to get me one of those "bad boys," my case has seen it's better day),

Overall I believe it's important to support the local tournaments and the sudden boom in pool activity all over the Dallas/Ft. Worth area ... so I wonder if I should try for #11 tonight? Rusty's BIlliards in Ft. Worth has a $500. a ball break contest tonight...hmmm
