Rare Color of Money poster inquiry...

Posted originally in Wanted section, but wanted to see if anyone in General might know.

In 1987 ish I owned a very unusual COM movie poster.

The picture was the standard painted pose that you see today, but with a slight difference.

Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio was seated in the backround with her arms hunched forward onto her lap. (Instead of the now classic pose of one arm resting up high- see below)

If you notice, the area under her resting raised arm is painted to look like Eddie's jacket...that was the original area where her arm sat.

Looking back, I assume now it was a 1st draft pre movie print..and silly me lost it many years ago.

Anyone have an idea of what I am talking about? (I am not crazy, I hope..)

Yep... That's the jacket all right. Interesting.....
She sure was a cutie in the movie that's for sure.
I wonder if ya could just get a print company to make
one up for ya if it wouldn't violate any copyright or trademark law.

Nice poster.
Just a note though.

From a pool purist point of view, they seem to have
lost a bit of realism by eliminating the pockets on the
pool table.
Looks like a side pocket would have fit nicely in
the center of the rail.

Just noticed that when you pointed that out. Maybe a bit of photoshop can get one in there lol.

Hanging

The one I am looking for is super rare, and is described as above. (Not the one pictured)

I have one framed and hanging by my Pool table, it is the pose with her arm up , like in your photo. The one I have does not have the Pool table below Vincent, instead it has the film credits.

Oh sorry... Now I understand... She's posing different
In the rare one... Was it originally a oil painting ?

Assuming it was, the original poster I had was a cinema window coming soon poster.

I am assuming the artist made it with the old pose, they sent out some posters...then he changed it.

I have never seen another with the different pose, so I thought I would reach out here.

I believe that is the image on the color of money soundtrack cd

I goggle imaged everything I could think of including the soundtrack cd.
The only pictures are that of the one by the Op... Only ones were arm
resting and with the crossed legs... And none I could find anywhere with
on her lap leaning.....

An artist by the name of Robert Tanenbaum is the person who did the artwork. He did a large number of movie posters in the 70s and 80s. You might want to contact him and see if he remembers doing more than one version.
