How the f do I make this more clear? How on earth do you not grasp such a simple concept?

Their attempt at making a dress code is to get people to look nicer. I'm glad you get that... However just making a code doesn't make people dress nicer. Women can look outstanding and appropriate without a collar... Or sleeves. (Women don't typical wear collars btw) You can also look like dogsh!t within code and 5 min walking around that tournament proves that.

Yes I get the "it's our rules, if you don't like it don't play" but where does that get us? That's the mentally that holds this game back. I'm not boycotting. I believe they can improve and if they don't know they're doing it wrong, they'll never move forward.

This isn't a "8 on the break" type of rule... In this instance, they inforced a rule that defeated the point of having the rule. How you don't get that is beyond me. Im guessing it's just Lou being Lou.

How do you not grasp that *you* do not get a vote. Play or do not play. No one gives "F."

I saw the picture.

Now grant me this as a possible scenario: a dress code; thousands of players; and a handful of guys hired to be referees. The briefing is basically: "Enforce the dress code. No exceptions."

It's a big event. That's how this stuff happens.

Which leads us back to why is there a dress code? So people dress nice.. Was she dress nice? Yep.

I know it's tough. I know.

There are thousands of players from all over. Not everyone thinks "dress nice" means the same thing.

Tough, eh?

A few years back they banned phonic tips on break cues at this event. Then they learned that it was pointless to do that... Because people showed them. Guess what, no more ban. Nuts.

I know. I saw hundreds of terribly dressed women last week in last Vegas playing pool. Wearing a collar. Welcome to 2014. Women don't wear collars unless they work at target

Now it's phenolic tips to dress code?!

Dress codes are tough for sure. While running a Joss event once a player pointed out a pro with no collar and said "Guess he's too good for the rules ey?" It was a collarless dress shirt that looked good and I pointed out one of the players that had a t shirt under an unbuttoned untucked flannel shirt he worn just meet the collar dress code and I asked "who would you rather have playing in your event?"
Kind of tough to put that on the refs though. You'll get a lot of people accusing refs of favoritism.

Now on the other hand I recently asked all of our national qualifiers to look nice as they were representing us and our mission. Most went out of their way to look good but some showed no effort at all? Now I have to babysit and write up what they can and cannot wear, I don't wanna lol
