One Stroke,

I'm not real sure what your problem is. You are so full of hatred that you are making a fool of yourself. I realize you had a 'beef' with Ozzy on his tour on the east coast. And its seems that you only know how to complain.

The facts will be discussed on the ABR program tonight - and through some press release and other methods. But I don't think you will ever just agree to disagree. We had a decision to make. I am real sorry it is not the same decision you would have made. But we feel it was the right decision and we will stick by it.

What you need to do is go do your own event. Then you can do what you want to do. I know that CSI and Mark Griffin do what we feel is right for the game. And we put our money where our mouth is.

You only put your mouth where your mouth is.

You can fix this by picking up the phone and calling me. If you have a question, I will answer it. You can start acting like an adult if you want to be treated like one.

I am probably wasting my time event trying to reach out to you - but that is how I am. Sometimes your biggest critic can become your biggest ally.

BTW - I did not have one email disagreeing with our decision - and had several that said we did the right thing - and many that said thank you for the event. I feel confident that the majority agree with our decision - but what is important is that the decision was made for the betterment of the game - and it was.

You were told it would take a few days or a week to respond but you continually harp on our 'delayed' response. Why don't you come out here and do 2% of what we do. You wont have time to respond to 100 posts on AZ Billiards either.

You say our admission of an error lacks substance. Do you even know what our 'error' was? Why don't you just be patient and quit acting like a 6 year old?

Respectfully,

Mark Griffin

I find it very interesting that a poll here had 47 % of the voters say you made the wrong decision , yet out of 700 emails not one disagreed with it ,, seriously ! I could ask 700 people if the sun comes up tomorrow and I doubt you get 100% that agree ,,,

Yes patience is not my virtue ,, I'm not accustom to waiting on explanations in my 45 yrs in the sports world on decisions team ,,player or otherwise ,, usually the explanation comes with the decision ,, I guess I just live in a different world than you

This is not personal to anyone other than yourself and Ozzy , to me if this happened in any tournament and the circumstances where the same my response would be the same ,,, remember this is chat forum that's what happens here ,, much to your dismay I can't think of one thing I hate except maybe my Xs

IMHO much of this could have been squashed right from the moment the decision was made to let Shane back it the tourney ,, not everybody would agree me included ,, but these threads would not have a fraction of the posts

It's unfortunate that Ralf and his un professionalism caused this whole thing to transpire in the first place and tarnish a otherwise for the most part a great event ,, and I'm more than sure there will be changes ,,

Good luck in the future

Just got done with the interview. I am sooo far behind on things now its silly. The interview was like 1.30hrs. Not sure if Mr Bond is going to edit it down ornot but they said what happened. I tried to do a timeline kind of thing from the Dennis Ralph match onward step by step and I think we got it as good as we could. Thanks to Mark and Ozzy for taking the time to go through it.

BTW, Matt is the one with the 5 O'Clock shadow.

Matt is slipping bad. We even had to kick him out of Saskatchewan. And thats pretty bad.

Generally speaking, if we can catch it with a 4 x 4 and hump it, its good to go.

Its the way we Roll on the Prairies. Coyotes are too fast.

Poll with 47% disapproval? Don't think I saw that one. Can you point it out to me? And where did the 700 emails come from?

You are like sooo getting banned for this. You dippin into the Molson already?

How did you find this? How did you like know? We are so embarrassed, the jig is up!

Gonna lock myself in a room crying and wait for ABR

Facts? WE CAN"T HANDLE THE FACTS!

We survive on speculation and innuendo.

Overall, my team and I had a wonderful and memorable time in Las Vegas. We look forward to doing it all over again. Thanks for all your hard work, Mark.

I'm sure your teams had a very "memorable" time in Las Vegas. Hopefully Rigo Morales will remember being handcuffed and taken to Clark County Detention Center for ripping off one of the best vendors around. My only hope is that the next time he does this, he steals from someone who will deliver swift justice and his league will not continue to sweep it under the carpet. If Santa Barbara Pool League/BCAPL does not have sanctions regarding thieves, you are both just as guilty as he is.

Mark refers to himself in the 3rd person?

Let me, if I may, share a Ricky Henderson story with you. I swear on a stack of anything this is a True Story.

After Ricky's rookie season with the Oakland A's he was on his way to big time star-dome, and everyone knew it. He was just so great.

Well, at the time he was on a one year contract ... after the season Charles Finley decided that his new star was not going anywhere.

He offered Ricky an unheard of signing bonus of One Million Dollars to remain the lead off hitter for the Athletics.

Ricky, of course took the check and singed the contract, with a big smile.

After about 2 or 3 months had gone by, Mr. Finley got a call from accounting, informing him that Ricky's one million dollar check had yet to clear their account.

Mr. Finley said, "don't worry about it - these players are busy .. I'm sure he will deposit it soon."

A few more months pass and Charles Finley gets the same call from accounting. This time Mr. Finley said, "l will talk to him right away."

Charles Finley went down to the locker room and approached Ricky. He asked Ricky about the check. He asked, "Rickey did you deposit your signing bonus check?"

Ricky replied, "No, I framed it and hung it on my living room wall."

The third person talk made me remember ... I promise you all that every word is true!

Ok, sorry for the interruption ... carry on.

I'm confident the SBPL / BCAPL will deal with the Rigo Morales incident properly. I just fail to understand how this has anything to do with Mark's first response. Or were you just trying to follow me around the various threads so you can hound me for being a member of the SBPL?

Rules of the Invitational

Were the rules of the invitational posted anywhere or were they known to all participants before the event started?

You seem friendly with the Ko's. Their opinions are the ones that i'd like to know most and they're probably the hardest to get.

My opinion remains the same and it would be the same no matter who stepped in to replace Ralf. CSI seems to hate assumptions yet they have no problem assuming people would not feel this way if Shane was not involved. Just one more example of the hypocrisy.

From the beginning I have said the decision was not fair to Ko. I still feel the same way because the rules were clear before the tournament. The WINNER of each group moves on. If I'm Ko and you make up a new rule in the middle of the tournament I'm going to feel cheated. I feel Ko was cheated. On top of that, he had to playa big match right after being cheated with no time to mentally recoup. It was a bad decision and I still feel Ko should be compensated.

Some things never change

Satori -
It does not surprise me at all that you will continue to push on this. I believe we had a similar go around on an earlier topic - maybe bonus ball?

If you feel Ko is owed something, please feel free to pay him something. CSI has already spent $50,000 bringing these great players to this event.

No one was cheated. I'm sorry you feel that way. But pushing forward on this only makes the situation worse. If you disagree with the rules - please create a new event for the player.

Respectfully,
mark Griffin

Apologies if this has already been cleared up, but was Ko told he wouldn't get paid if he refused to play SVB?
