Alex P Moneymatch last week - Top Money Player in PI

Earl will explode if he plays in PH.i guess this is one reason why sharking tactics won't work for Pinoys.

My Filipino friend says the audience is talking sh.. to players when they miss or get hooked! Even cursing them out yet they continue to shoot well...

I can also tell it's scorching hot as some of the audience including Alex wiping their foreheads. Some even has towels. The cloth is definitely not Simonis. Not sure how the rails play and the balls aren't sparkling either. You need to wear flip flops I guess coz the floor is A+

Earl or anyone of us here has more than sharking going against us! :o

Crazy to see pool like that with everyone moving around and waving their fans. Also, I found it interesting that the guy in the red t shirt would go and pick up any lent right before either player would shoot.

He has a chalk and he marks the table in case a ball is moved by a player .
He does that all the time if a ball has a chance of getting nudged by the shooting player.
The tricycles driving by is brutal. Every other minute.
It's steaming hot in there b/c the roof is made of tin and has no insulation whatsoever.

Guys this is Part 1 where in the camera guy shoots the street where the pool hall is located! A MUST SEE!!! Damn Alex is a true warrior! If I strolled in there I would stick out like a sore thumb! I'd do it once I see Jay Helfert in the background! What a place! So this is what the World Killers from PH play in...

Efren now I know what you came out of. I had no Idea! My utmost respect to the Filipinos! Wow we are spoiled. I'm not much of a complainer but boy I really won't judge any pool hall we got around here ever!

Thanks for that info. But there was a time or two that a player was going to pick up some lint or chalk from the table, and then the guy in the red shirt followed after him and did the exact same thing.

It's most likely Bugs not lint. Check out part one it's open walls and NO DOOR! This could be a 24 hour joint!

"Did the table just roll off on me??"....."Naw, you caught a bug"

Ok you! In the Red Shirt here's $5 ur now my bug guy!

I'm thinking the bugs land on table and the balls firing smashes them dead! Lint comes from circulated air (A/C in our case).

Part 1: Must be rush hour! The trikes are non-stop! Also moving and passing chairs around during a big money match! Crazy!

It's probably just the camera angle, but the table looks to be 10'. That's the way pool was in action bars up and down the Eastcoast in the 1950's to the 1980's. Jukebox cranking, a ring of sweaters around the table (too close), people shouting out bets, and drunks rolling around on the floor fighting beneath your feet. Johnnyt

Love it and should be mandatory viewing for all aspiring players ;)
Thanks for posting it.

Watched some of the beginning and the last game. What a great match! Amazing how focus these guys play. I'd like to see Mika or Appleton play in those conditions!

Thank you very much for posting these links. The pool videos from PH are by FAR my favorite videos ever (but I am a huge fan of Inside Pool videos) due to the conditions and skill of the players.

I think I watched one once where a chicken was running around under the tables.

I would love to witness this in person, even if I would stick out like a sore thumb.
