SJM at the World 14.1 Event

s-t-i-l-l same rack.

Max came out ahead after a battle of safeties and intentional fouls, made 3 or 4 balls then missed. Then Shane missed. Max back at the table with open shots.

Stream down again. Haven't broken anything here yet.

EDIT: Back up for me.

Another freeze on the stream. Looked like was going to get out of that rack. If so, he would trail about 165 - 182.

:mad:stream:mad:

Just back. Yes, that's the score.

And Max has next rack wide open.

Just heard They put some contingency plans in place . If Daz drops out, SVB will take his place and if he beats Max in the current game, he will play HIMSELF in the finals!! WOW!

SVB 'A' vs SVB 'B'!

I love both, used to play with Max when he was 14 years old! Best of luck to both.

Despite the maddening stream issues, it has been a stellar match and the commentators are quality - educational at times to be sure.

This game started at 2:50. It just hit the 5-hour mark.

Max got all 14 in that rack and now trails by only 3: 179 - 182 Shane.

Max has a side-pocket break shot from above the side pockets.

Shane cleared the table after Max' scratch and leads 196 - 178.

Shane has a good break ball and needs 4 points for the win.

That game was hard on my nerves :)

I'm stuck at work (ironically my last day at this job) and I'm unable to watch. Thanks to all for the updates.

Last years final match between Hohman and Appleton was the same way. I watched every ball and was relieved when Thorsten got the win.

That has to be the forerunner for longest match of the tourney.

Many thanks to StATLarge :) , Stu and others!

NOW... what's the line on SVB vs Daz? Gotta be close to a flip 'em.

Well, you never know. But from all of Shane's mistakes this past match, I'd have to bet on the other guy. After quite a few mistakes in his semi-final, Appleton did run 107 near the end.
