Fusco's The Spot--sounds like an awesome place!

So, I've been reading and participating in a thread in which the OP has been openly bashing and seems to have a vendetta for Fusco's The Spot in the Philadelphia area. I have never had a desire to visit Philadelphia from watching TV shows such as "Philadelphia Parking Wars." But, after reading about Fusco's The Spot, it sounds like a really cool place to go play pool! I remember Eagleshot from his time in Chattanooga when we called him, "The Glove." At that time he and I played very close to the same speed. Since then, my game has improved a little as I'm sure his has as well. I am not by any means a great player, but I do enjoy action and sweating action. It sounds like there is plenty to go around at Fusco's The Spot so I may just plan a trip to visit this seemingly epic poolroom!

Thoughts?

I have not been their either, but from the Facebook pictures it looks like a great place. Pete has been around pool for a long time, so I suspect this is a room that caters to players.

I haven't been there in a few years.... but one particular summer maybe 6 years ago everyone in the Philly area was congregating there. All the A and Open level players. Tons of action.

I have been frequenting the new Lacy's Cue in Chalmette, LA. It is, by far, the nicest poolroom I have ever seen. Also, the famous Buffalo's in Metarie, LA (both rooms in the "burbs" of New Orleans) which has a completely different vibe. I'd love to see other rooms in different parts of the country. With all the publicity Fusco's has been getting, it sounds like a place to put on my list of rooms to visit.

Yep

It is a very nice room! You might also run into a few legends as this is Karen Corr's home room as well as Jimmy Fusco and Jafar Basheer (AKA Henry or Patcheye) a great one pocket player from the past!

Can you pick me up on the way? Maybe we can donate some to Vinny.

Fusco's is a great room. You could find any and all levels of play at any given time. Some nights you're sweating $50 / game 1 pocket and others it's $300 / game back pocket 9 ball.

I play mostly at Drexeline Billiards - also a great room.
