SVB vs. Jason Shaw race to 100 10ball - Sept 12-13

This I'd like to see. I'm not so sure Shane could get there in that location in that format/race.

It would affect him less since he can turn he hearing aid down
However Mikes a little delusional on who should come to who
Shane's got nothing to prove and nothing to gain by beating Mike
So if I were Mike and I wanted to prove I could beat Shane I would grow a pair and follow Shane everywhere he went till I got that game

3-5k is nothing for 2 hours work?

shane flew to greece to play in a tournament(didn't cash?) and play nick the greek for 7K in the middle. I don't see how he not take the 3hr road trip to play mike.

I've given Mike some grief in the past, and while I don't think he's a favorite in any game against Shane. I do think he's a tougher opponent than Nick the Greek.

alternate break is pretty big here. It may prevent Shane from distancing himself from Shaw with that great break. About two years ago if I recall correctly, Earl beat Shane on the 10 footer at Steinway race to 25 mainly because the alternating break kept Earl in the match and Shane dogged an out he usually would complete

It's a "winner breaks" format.

Makes me head to the Action section to figure out how to get on the "Good action list". This just seems a huge lock, even giving up 11 games.

No question...

:joyful: ...not "Who do you like?"
...just "Do you like?"

YES :happydance: just wanna see great pool!!!

Said it a million times

SVB cut his f'kn teeth playing long sets like this. Forget skill sets like shot making, pattern play, breaking, etc. SVB has the most important and OVERLOOKED skill set. It's HIS game! Long race period. He's played more of them and won more of them then any of these guys.

You wanna ask me who might have a chance that no one has even mentioned? Chris Bartram. And that's mostly bc he plays this kind of format. It's a real money players game. Grind em out, and keep ur sh!t together better then the other guy, and see the finish line.

If any of these guys want to beat him, then they need to start practicing playing long races. Go to the Phillippines and cut ur teeth vs the worlds best, challenge the world and see where u stand. That's what SVB did, and he knows what it takes to garuantee that he gets the $$. Remove as much variance as possible.

All the guys that have played or about to play him remind me of fizzling sparklers.

I always thought this about Chris as well. Chris, what would you need in 10 ball to make it a fair game, race to 100 with Shane?

Hmmm. This overlaps with the American 14.1 Straight Pool Championship in Virginia. Too bad they aren't playing in that, especially after Shane's recent 2nd in the World 14.1.

I'll give you $100 sweat bet at 11 taking Shaw and I am not on the GAL... Not like I will be going anywhere... LOL
