:: Coming Soon :: Amboyna + Bridge Point + Veneered Windows + Bridge Point...

Jive

What is the status of this cue. I anxiously await seeing the finished project.

Thanks

Kevin

Actually I haven't yet ask Bob about it, he told me this cue would be delivered end of this year or early next year so I left him to it. I'll drop him a line soon and see if there's anymore cool pictures for me :)

Man... where have I been on this one... completely missed it. What a great cue! Bob's work is amazingly clean and precise... extremely underrated maker.

Love how that Amboyna just comes to life when the finish hits it. Bob's chain link ring work is my favorite of that style.

Congrats on another beauty Jive! :bow-down:

I can't agree more that Bob's work is too underrated. However it seems more and more AZers are ordering from him, good for Bob but not good for my next order heh

Bob loves photography as well and he takes pride in ensuring his subjects are good enough for the lens and he is such a cool guy to work with.

All your comments are getting me excited about it cue again!! Haha

i love bobs work. i regularly check his website and his youtube channel for videos. im not quite sure why i havent pulled the trigger yet...

Don't wait to long, I hear his wait list is getting longer and longer.

Fantastic work....gonna be a beautiful cue !!

No doubt it'll be gorgeous :)

That's a great looking cue.

Thanks.

Perfection............

True that!

Update from Bob

Here are pictures of the stacked veneers that will be used in the butt sleeve to form 4 windows.

In Bob's words "Just something to whet your appetite!" :grin-square:

By the looks of these pics, I`m guessing, I`m gonna have to buy Bob another JD on the rocks again this year at states. You owe me another beer or 3 Jive. LOL The cue is coming along nicely buddy. Can`t wait to get another sneak peek at it again this year. Ha Ha
Be well my friend

Haha yes Jeff I'm gonna old you a barrel in no time ;)
I'm equally excited and have been bugging Bob with some ideas after having obscene amounts of coffee in the morning..

I agree with everything you said Jamie except the deal about Bob being under rated?

Bob is a Professional Master Machinist and all of the CMs or peers I know see him as one who is at the top of this game.

The art of cue making is all about controlling tight tolerances. Bob has that going in spades!

Rick

have to admit, i never would have thought that color combo would have flowed very well but i very much like it. Cant wait to see it done. What are you doing in the wrap area?

Thanks for the YouTube link Jive! I really enjoyed watching all of Dzuricky's videos. Fun to see all the parts of a cue come together this way. Beautiful work.

Thanks Jake, the original plan was black EE wrap to let the rest of the cue including the wood pop. Now I'm wondering if brownish EE or Spanish Bull would look better. What do u think?

Thanks, I enjoy all of Bob's pictures and videos...it's clear from those that Bob's a meticulous man and I've never enjoyed working on a cue as much as this.

I think subtle is better and the black will possibly take away the flow.

Sadly you both lack imagination. Purple ostridge skin is what is needed here!

Just kidding of course. Any boring mundane wrap would look great on that cue!

Larry

When you say kidding all i hear is your inner most thoughts Larry...
I'm still looking for that Pink EE Wrap...it's so illusive..i mean i can find pink ivory but why the heck can't i find that animal...darn..

If you can't find a pink E, you are not drinking enough. I suggest you work a little harder.
