Just as the title reads..

What happened to the thread?
It was one of the most informative threads about a Cue Builder (Jeff Olney)
Screwing over his Customer..

I thought my dealings with Jeff was bad, but this deal was unbelievable..

Not the first Cue Maker thread to do a disappearing act.

There was a couple of Showman threads that did the same a few moons ago.

Yet, if you do a Search, I believe that Scott Gracio's and the Zinzola threads are still alive.

It was deleted??

Brought back from the dead.

I applaud your decision. Its very important for the public to be informed as much as possible about their options when choosing who to do business with.

Just like any other industry we need to expect a certain standard of integrity. Sharing our personal experiences, whether good, bad or otherwise is the best way to staying informed.

Somehow I missed your post in that thread my first read through. Glad I was able to go back and revisit it.

Still shocked by all this and disappointed.

Yep true story...
My relationship with Jeff started after I had purchased 3 cues from him..

He calls me, and offers to make me a SPECIAL CUE (his exact words, and I bought into the B.S.) lol

After I agree to what he wants to build me he asked me to send him 100% payment upfront..

I sent him a check. Can you blame me? The great Jeff Olney called me, and offered to build me a SPECIAL CUE. haha

Over the next couple of years we would talk, about cues, wood, and things he was working on.. During some of the conversations we would put together a cue order, and guess what?? Jeff would ask me to send him 100% payment upfront for the GHOST CUE ORDERS.

After the falling out I tell him to send me my money back, and get this!!! He has no clue how much money I sent him over a 2 year period.. NO CLUE!!!

Well sir you obviously didn't get the memo on the foremost authority on how to run a legitimate business.

Its the nature of the business and they can do whatever they please with their cues and your money.

Wow looks like I have some research to do.
Jeff, you can not please everyone and you
shouldn't waste your time trying to do that!

I have never heard anything but great things
about Jeff from REAL people (not someone
behind a keyboard). Are his wait times long?
Yes. Does he work at his own pace? Yup. Does
he reserve the right to do whatever the hell
he wants with his cues? Of course. That's the
nature of the business!

Keep up the great work Jeff. That cue you made
for yourself but ended up selling, that is one of
your best works yet. Haters gonna hate.

Crazy. Still trying to wrap my head around it all.

I've never done a custom order but I bought one he was just finishing up once and it's the best hitting cue I've ever held. Sent it in for a new shaft and it took just a bit longer than expected but nothing crazy. Communication was good the whole time and when I asked for a change of wrap color he even did it at no charge even though I was absolutely willing to pay.

Hard to reconcile my experiences with what has been posted in the other thread.

The bad experiences I've seen posted are not good but they also just don't jibe with what I've personally experienced.

This whole thing just makes me sad.

Yes another great post by the
Josh Stodola..

Here's an interesting read..

Josh Stodola not satisfied with his new cue order, and
the customer service he received..

I guess Josh forgot what it's like to be an unsatisfied customer..
