Darren vs Danny

As in Darren Appleton and Danny Smith.

The next session begins at 7:00 PM CST.

The discipline is one pocket.

The ahead set number is 7

The entry fee is $10,000.00 per man (and yes I saw the money)

Danny Smith is up 3 games.

Total number of games played 21 in an 8 hour period. Overall score 12-9 Danny Smith.

Darren Appleton has not slipped into what I call the "one pocket mode". Expect better from both players.

Danny is demonstrating that he is a fantastic one pocket player.

Additional fireworks predicted for tonight. See it all LIVE on THE BIG TRUCK SHOW.

I wish I could be there tonight! Danny plays so much better than what he showed last night! He knows he didn't come out as strong as he should have. I'd say he will bear down today and play some solid 1pocket with some spectacular moments. Last night it seemed he tried to play spectacular 1pocket with solid moments. If he turns that around today Darren sure doesn't have to like it... at all!

I like your statement, Last nigh, it seemed he tried to play spectacular 1pocket with solid moments.

In at least two games, Danny failed to heed JoeyA's number 1 precept of one pocket, "Get Ahead, Stay Ahead."

So true Joey A. in game 4 when he had 6 balls and Daz needed 9 and Danny tried that stupid shot I thought of you and your saying. He didn't need to try to win right then.
I am still not able to get in the chat room, guess I am too dumb to figure it out, but the narrators are giving great insight.---Smitty

The Loop will stop at 6pm central and the stream will be off for (1) hour or less for maintenance.

The proof of this is overwhelming for me , I average winning about 3 or 4 games out of 10 where my opponent of approximate equal skill has 6 balls to 2 .
I win 9 out of 10 of those games when the score is reversed.
The funniest thing to me , is that when I say something like that , people look at me like I have 2 heads.
It must be nice to just be able to outrun ignorance all day long.

That is some solid advice there. Played a guy 6 or 8 or 10 games of one pocket and broke even..ion the games.I lost, I'd jump out to a lead early, then he'd work his way back in to win.

Next time we played, we doubled the bet and I won 8 in a row by tightening up in the end game.

Updates??????

Darren not looking so good thats what you get when you dont play

Scott Frost said Darren
told him he has not played 1 pocket in months

Absolutely terrible playing by darren. Just keeps selling out and shooting the wrong shots. And hardly takes or sees any free shots..

How can you ask a guy to stake you for 10k and no your playing this match a good 6 weeks out and NEVER play any one pocket sparring/practice? That is just complete disrespect for the guy staking you. Totally unacceptable, and he really looks like a mid level one pocket player. I have zero idea how he beat Chip last time.

Maybe if he can make it to tomorrow he can snap out of it. But it's not looking likely
