Over the weekend i was fortunate enough to be able to attend the first Custom Cue Forum held in Beijing.

The idea for the show wasn't to sell cues rather it was for collectors or enthusiasts to come together to share their beloved custom cues and exchange views and ideas.

Most of the cues are from Chady Liu's private collection along with cues from Paul and Chady's business PC Billiards.

Zen was also present to not only display his masterpiece but also to educate everyone about his cues and more about custom cues and how they differ from mainstream production cue.

A lot of photos...so just prep yourself...


First, some photos of the setup and the pool hall. Notice the tables are different? Yup, that's Chinese Pool Table and that's the most widely played pool in Northern China. Regular pool tables are played mostly in the Southern parts of China.

Hahah we didn't even know if it'll be successful...I'll let you know way in advance next year ok? Remember to prepare some beauties for next year, some of those sexy butts will be good.

What May show? The Guangzhou Billiards Expo??? Don't waste your money, trust me no cue collector will be there....nobody makes any transactions there, it's held for distributors and pool hall owners to buy tables and accessories. Production cue
companies like Predator, Mezz, Lucasi, McDermott..will be there to promote their brands to more dealers and to maintain dealership relationships...I quit going cos it is really not for cue enthusiasts. Unless you're looking to buy tables, cloths, balls...

I will be coming over i think in april for Brad's Birthday party (in Bangkok)
get the buyers together I will bring cues if they want to see,,,Yes Guangzhou was going to be it,,,maybe stop by SH,china also,,

Thanks for the pictures Jive, looks like a great show. I love all the cues but who is the booth/rack that has the (3) Searings ?

Thanks Dan.

There's actually no booth or who owns which rack system, we try to group same makers cues together. However I do believe those SW belongs to Chady.
 
Double Purpleheart Kurly is awesome. Rainbo(sic) reminds me of another cue I saw recently.
 
Never get tired of seeing these gatherings with good people and great cues. Thank you Jive for documenting and sharing with us.
