Southwest has a long wait, but if you e-mail Lauri, you get a reply in a fews days max where you are on the list, and projected delivery date.
She is a business person.
To be fair, Southwest isn't "apples to apples". She is one a of a few that work for the company, which puts out more cues in one year than other cue makers do in a lifetime.
The point isshe manages along wait, deals with customers, and I don't hear the moan and grown because she handle business.
Being a one or two man show is not 7-4, with an hour for lunch. It is a 7 x 24 x 365 job you need to pay attention too.
I was a one man sghow for over 20 years, my life was not my own, but I understood who payed my rent, etc. Clients not me.

What are the odds if DS called you tomorrow and said your cue was ready you'd be singing a different tune?

Oh, really? Be upset? Oh, okay. What if the guy with the new Szamboti cues acquired a huge ivory tusk for the maker and the cuemaker preferred to barter with a new cue or two? It's called commerce or business. It has been going on all over the world for a few thousand years. In the USA the cuemaker can decide when, who and how he builds or doesn't build no matter who approves or disapproves. I'm not defending any unfortunate dealings anyone has had with cuemakers past or present (I've had my share).
First of all this thread was started just to get in touch with Dennis..... Which I admit is getting ridiculous these days.... But that is because off all these BIG BANK HANKS trying to lube him up for a cue...... I am just looking for repair info for one of his cues...

So someone please explain what all the Hype is about, Dennis's Cues are nice. But are they magic, or are they driven to be had by collector, and flipper because he make few per year?
IMHO there are so many great Cue maker in 2014, guys who work is on a par with Dennis, but because no one important who writes for some Pool Rag has said the new Cue Guru is, FILL IN THE BLANK.
Their Great Work is Ignored because it has not been hyped to the point of being the in VOGUE CUE for 2014.

No Joey I understand there are no magic cues, no matter what hype you choose to babble. I am sure your Countrymen ER could still play world class pool, with a Cue from the Big 5 Sporting Goods chain.
I would rather have ER's sill at Pool verses one of the Cues in Vogue you choose to babble about.
