The way he called the pocket on the last shot lol..

Congratulations "The Magician" Efren and oh boy the kick shot I need to revisit that is was reminiscent to the World 9 ball kick shot that he did against Karl Boyes.

Here's to the best ever. When Efren wins, everybody wins. If you don't love Efren, you don't love pool.

Well played, Efren!

I always have to root for Shane because I live in Sioux Falls but if it's not going to be Shane then Efren would be my first pick. One of the best players and probably the most humble. Miss a shot smile and walk away, win a tournament and claim it's lucky. I hope he shoots into his 100's. You can't help but smile everytime you see him shoot. Nice win.

he's the best there's ever been
this wasn't even one pocket and he still beat everyone
with his "weak" 10 ball break, and at age 60, too damn good

What scares me is that there is a dude that goes Hill Hill in the final of a major in the Phillipines with Efren Reyes with a field consisting of multiple other champions... that I have never heard of before.

If you're talking about Pulpul, he's been around. I think he was runner up in one of the first 10-Ball WPCs in the Philippines a few years back. Since then I'm actually surprised he hasn't made more of a splash in the international scene. From what I've seen (granted which isn't very much), he belongs in the top tier of Filipino players, if not then just below that.

Anyway, congrats to Efren! The entire pool world smiles when he wins.

Seems like only yesterday we never heard of Biado, either. We've been hearing for some time now about all the "unknown" monster Pinoys. Now's our chance to finally meet them.

Now, if only they'd get the rules and refs straightened out.

LOL, that must be longest 10 ball call in history, I mean he literally want to make triple sure everyone saw pocket he is calling

Pulpul was an unknown until he dropped into semis of 1st WPA W10B but lost to Wu in the year that Darren won.
I would consider him below the top Filipinos . He lacks the finesse and more of a brawler. I would put Ignacio , Johan Chua above him and Faraon (recent All Japan winner below him)
:)

Big win for Efren. My wife told me he would win because it was in the P I but I told her Efren isn't the only Filipino in the event and it is a world class event. Turns out my wife was right.

I'm not familiar with Pulpul. I searched his name and it looks like he is from Cebu. How old is he?
