Show us your HOME ROOMS !!

This is my living room, which is in one of four classrooms of the 1940 school house I live in. It isn't pretty but it's mine. I updated the Diamond Professional to the blue label specs a couple years ago, thanks to info RKC was kind enough to provide for free.

oldschool,

I love the room. It looks like a great room to teach pool. Just don't use the chalkboard to keep score. It's too easy to augment the score on a chalkboard, not that anyone you know would do that. I'm just sayin'.

Best Wishes,
Rick

This is ridiculously cool. Can you post a pic of the rest of the house? Never seen a school tuned a home before!

Thanks for all the unexpected compliments guys!

This school was built in 1940, in what used to be Stayton,
Tennessee. Now the area is named Cumberland Furnace,
after the nearby old iron smelter and mine.
The room the table is in was somewhat cleaned up by the
previous owner. The rest of the 5,000 sq ft building is in bad
shape, and only used for storage. I won't show photos of the
rest, because..... well I'm ashamed of myself for not fixing it
up as I intended when I moved in. I am 66 now and living on
Social Security, with no funds to spare for repairs.

I posted the photos in hopes of tempting some of you folks
who might live in the area to stop by for a game or two.
My best friend comes over to play most Sundays, but I need
more competition, and most nearby places only have bar tables.:frown:

Hey oldschool,

That's a nice set up you have there.

Nice name too. Do you go by oldschool because you live there or because your generation or both?

Love the school days theme... Man this opens up some creative ideas... old school is the way to the future. lol Time for some lessons!

My pool room

I had always wanted a big log cabin and a pool table but could never afford either. On April 27, 2011, our home was completely blown away by an EF5 tornado which reached its peak intensity at my house. We didnt have enough money to finish the basement but it is our designated recreation room.

Nice room and comeback from the disaster, Rod! :thumbup2:

Adversity like that may have you enjoying it even more.

I learned something a few years ago that I never knew before.

When we think about "tornado alley" most typically think about OK, AR, KS and MO, however, it was shown that AL is every bit as potent a tornado zone as those others. Pretty amazing, and scary stuff.

Thx for sharing.

best,
brian kc
