Ok, I did this last year (SJD Dick won with a great parody of CJ) and went thru the posts again this year that were quoted as being "post of the year". Sorry if I missed any so next year please make sure you use the phrase "post of the year" in your response for a post to be considered. I left myself out it cause my posts are so great it would be unfair.

1. OneIron - just a comment on the Ferguson situation (NPR)

Kudos to the Reverend...

2. Trinaacria - just a normal response to a poster here on AZ

do you beat someone who gave you a sizable spot and have the BALLS to give advice about the game?? Dick!!!!!!

do you make comments about someone's equipment because you paid more for yours?

do you look down on a newer player because you supposedly have more "experience" because you're an old miserable Fu-k?

did you see a pro player play and now you "know" him?

do you go on AZBilliards and pretend to know more than others, and than comment with useless reply's and cowardly reply's such as but not limited to
"use the search function" "IMHO", etc.............

there's unwritten rules in the hall and certain etiquettes that should be followed, and even if you do it doesn't give you the right to be a world class douchebag.

feel free to add your own, and if you are one of the one's who this targets, take a custom, ivory loaded, best hitting cue you've ever owned, one of a kind work of art that you're trying to sell to me and shove up your middle pocket.

3. TheWhiffer - in describing the US Open experience (this year and every year)
A suggestion to improve the ppv experience. Get Barry off the mike, or have him prattle on ad nauseum between the matches instead of eating up time when the 8.30 match should have started.

4. Spimp - on a response to criticism of Mark Griffin and CSI

5. Kickin' Chicken - trying to make light of another internet argument between two posters
Kickin' Chicken said:
Maybe you guys need to play for 10K and stream it.
I can see the promo poster now:

The Screw vs. The Jew
Finally, See Them Settle...
The Frankenstein Cue

"Ronnie The Screw" says "I got this; hell, I can shoot 'round corners with my special stick".

"Brian The Jew" says; "I ain't scared, I got me a borrowed Jensen that shoots smooth like butta..."

Your $9.95 PPV pass will get you all of the great action plus a free virtual buffet featuring your choice of either American cheese on white bread cut diagonally with a very dull and rounded knife served on an institutional stainless steel tray (no plate) -or- tongue on a nice hard roll with deli mustard and a half-sour pickle.

R the S: "I don't know much but I do know this, I'll be treatin' you like a prison-b1tch in this match..."

B the J: "Oy vey, can we just play already, I made an honest mistake, hey, any more of that virtual tongue?

Ed The Sandman promises this to be yet another magnificent event at Sandcastle all starting with Ron The Screw who has chosen to walk on to Johnny Cash's big hit, "Folsom Prison Blues"

While Brian The Jew says he's gonna pay a little tribute to the cue with the bolts in its neck that got away, then came back, then got away, then came back only to get away again, hopefully, this time for good, by his walking on to Bobby Pickett & The Cryptkickers classic, "Monstermash".

A good time is practically guaranteed to be had by all.

best,
brian the jew aka kc

6. JCIN - replying to a poster that was upset with SVB not acknowledging him when approached as his greatest fan.
Not sure if you know or not but Shane doesnt hear very well. The first hundred or so times I said something to him and he just looked at me funny and turned around I was pissed. Then I realized he just didnt hear what the hell I was saying.

Or maybe he just didnt like your face.

7. And my favorite from TATE - I die laughing everytime I see this pic. A response to Rhea and the debate of if a transgender should be allowed to play in a women's pool event.
The world is bedazzled by vivacious Pearl Strickland, who has seemingly
emerged from nowhere to dominate the women's pro circuit.

Thanks for the nomination. This is a great site! I love getting a chuckle from some posts and pictures, as well as hopefully helping other forum members get a laugh from mine. Here's to 2015 and possibly getting on the list again !

No post in 2014 made me laugh harder than this one by Brandon Cook. During the US Open 9-ball, Accu-stats failed to mike up the table and the sounds of the match were most peculiar. As Brandon put it:

It sounds like the commentators are hiding in a bunker somewhere. Why don't they have the table mic'd? I like hearing the break and the sounds of the game. Without it the feeling is almost artificial IMO.

The bunker analogy was way over the top!

Thank you Watchez. I had forgotten about this one. Occasionally you find a couple of photos that fit perfectly together, ideally with minimal alteration. In this case, Earl's face fit very well on none other than the beautiful Ewa Mataya's form. I am by no means a photo shop wizard but finding these couple of pics, with that dead serious look on Earl's face made it both funny and scary! I left a small amount of hair on Earl's forehead to give the appearance of an obvious wig.

Not fair, too soon. I was saving my very best post for Dec. 31. Now I won't be in the running for either year. Better post it after the first of the year now, so I can be a contender for next year's "Post of the Year".

Even though not nominated that way, I have to go with Justin's entire body of work.

I'd like to give a write-in vote for Affton billiards in Tom Haney's Question on rep? thread.

"This is sooo stupid, I may have to red rep myself for reading this."
