I've heard 5-6 different variations of this, but have yet to find out where or WHO gambles like this.
How many of you have met a guy that talks himself up by bragging about being the top dog at a place where they supposedly play for 100-1000 PER BALL on a actual pool table,as opposed to a "liability" game on a tight snooker table like they play at Hard Times? Tommy D.
Maybe not an all out lie but when I asked someone if he played straight pool and he said no, but he said since you can make any ball in any hole he could probably run 40 or 50 with no trouble.
Marie-Antoinette had a cue made from one piece of ivory. She valued it so highly she kept it locked away and wore the key to the cabinet around her neck. If this cue still exists it may put the silver Ginacue in the shade in terms of value!
I'll pay you back on payday. I promise:grin-square:
You're a good player, wanna play some cheap sets.
I haven't played in months (last time i heard this, the fellow who made the remark owns a pool table at home - he added "well practicing doesn't count ")
