How Would You Shoot the 4?

Stun run through with a little left.

There are at least two patterns that this description applies to. I assume you plan for the cue ball to hit one or more cushions. If I were comfortable with the table speed I'd play the two-cushion version; if not, I'd play the four-cushion extension of the two-cushion path, namely left, bottom, top and right cushions. This leaves a harder shot to get on the 6 from the 5, but you are surer of some shot on the 5.

I'd play the four in the corner pocket and play the four rail option. (same as the three rail) except the four rail allows you to clear the bottom two balls on the table.

Just a little insurance that lets you put more power on it than needed to be sure to clear the balls

Everybody in this thread that has advocated going 4 rails to the 5, I've got a question for you; where are you shooting the 6 ball?

Not saying you're wrong but where do you plan to shoot the 6?

Deep as you can into te corner with whitey, I say!

2rails with bottom left, and firm, I tell ya.

But on an olde diamond, I might scratch in the side (its a sin for a table to ply that short).

Depends on where I lay on the five. If I'm closer to straight in, six in the side. If I end up back cutting the five then you could set up for the 6-9 combo. Could also hold the CB up two rails for the 6 in the corner past the 9.

I am lying. Looked at it again and I am rolling it in and going 2rails back to middle table.

Did you see how small the pocket is? Might not even accept a pool ball,

In the side or in the same corner as the 5. I depends on how I lay on the 5 after going 4 rails.

PS - You have 2 8 balls so I am sure what to do when I shoot the 6.:grin-square:

Efren Reyes shot the ball like this, I don't know if he hit the 3 railer heavy or the 4 railer light:).

I didn't read all the replies...

I like this option. 2 rails to the middle of the table, and then play the 5 and 6 in the same pocket.
