I'm back..and I'm pissed !

Gents, I'm new to az, got banned a couple weeks ago (for 3days?). Since being here, I've read some VERY ABUSIVE CONTRARY. I perhaps should have been a little bit more gentle w you all.
I have never read a rule of ethics, DO'S&DONTS. Never received a warning (of any kind).
I thoroughly enjoy this site.
I understand, now, that a person may not go off topic. And more that I'm not aware of.
I've asked other players for advice. They have given me some heads up...
Just wish you'd post rules etc, post the "abusive content" I'm accused of (privately to me).
Hope this is not abusive.! Actually just wanted to get the rules, as I've read MANY abusers, mostly between ppl who obviously know ea other.!

Question :by the way, how do you become a gold member & just how did I go from bronze to silver? And what, if any privileges did I gain?
All in all, this may seem mundane to you, but I'd like a reply.! . Very glad to have gotten onto this link. So much positive /some negative. Just like any room you roll into and you're not a regular.! ☺

Thanks Hog man, I enjoy your posts too.. But, I think I may owe an apology to a few people....I tend to make light of (ie; ridicule) the guys who make posts about the mundane aspects of our game...Like tips, chalk, wraps, low vs. high deflection shafts, etc...That is very rude of me, as I know there are many younger members who are interested in these things, and it is not fair for me to do that ! :o

It all stems from my age, (which BTW, sucks) and me having been drug kicking and screaming into the internet 'information age' !..In my day, the only thing there was to discuss regarding these things, was if your tip came off, you put on a new one, and adapted to it. (or not)..Chalk was chalk, maybe 1 or 2 brands, and if you didn't keep your tip roughed up, and remember to 'chalk up'...you mis-cued ! :eek:

If I approached these obvious subjects with my peer's, I would have been considered an over-zealous 'dipsh*t', or worse !..I'm sure these things are well worth looking into, in greater detail...But please understand, that was not how we rolled, back in day !..My only rational defense is, look at Efren, the greatest player of this generation...I think he felt/feels, pretty much the same way ! Bottom line STILL is..... "It ain't the arrow, its
the Indian" ! :rolleyes:

PS..SVB doesn't count, cuz he's too young ;)..But I don't think he would play any different, without all the new-fangled amenities, INCLUDING "laser guided aiming systems".....Do you ??? ;)

Did you see that apology? Well he is on a ban that will be a long one for sure. AZB is a much better place now since his ban and a lot less work for all the Moderators now don't ya think?

(adding a few of my own, in red)

If you choose not to even read, (and/or absorb) his VERY astute observations, then I feel you are hiding your head(s) in the sands...It is obvious I am NOT alone in those thoughts !... If this makes me 'persona non grata' AGAIN..so be it.. I have already too often, been made to feel like I live in "North Korea", when it comes to freedom of expression, without dire repercussions !

Also, while I'm on a roll.. let me clear the air in response to another subject.. my 'drinking problem", as is often brought up by Hawiian Eye, Mr. Wilson, and a few others, to try and paint me as an 'alcoholic' !...If you would care to check with any of my close 'local' friends, (Lenny, Frost, etc.) you would find that I gave up drinking more than a few sociable drinks, (on rare occasions) about 30 years ago.!...

I admit, I used to cultivate that personna, and have for years...I liked to call it, my "Dean Martin" act, who (truth be known) also RARELY ever drank, and only used it, as I did, to promote a fun-loving, 'out of control' image...It was kind of a way to make better games ! (who doesn't like to play 'drunks' ?)...Since I don't play anymore, I no longer need it...But, keep impressing me with how well you know my personal life habits !

I would greatly appreciate, the courtesy of an acknowledgement regarding my insight, (even a negative one)..from at least one of you !

I'm by no means a newbie, being 60+yrs old. Nice advice on 'how we roll' in the day. I was raised by ppl you all know. No prob, and thanks for the info.

You have to post at least 200 times in each Forum and also have 20 Friendship requests from Cocobolo Cowboy.

The last one is the easiest task.

Then, one of the Moderators will ask you one final question and put you on a quest, sort of like a Forum Walk About, that can last for up to one year.

Then, and only then, can you become a Gold Member.

I have been Prospecting since 2008 and haven't received my full Rockers yet.
