Taiwan TOI

What shot are your referring to?

If inside is your master shot, why shoot that 9-ball with outside. It is the game ball and could have easily been shot with TOI.

What shot are your referring to?

I've made it clear that I can use either side of the cue ball, I just don't use center ball because the pocket zone can't be created which is 'The 3 Part Pocket System'.

That is correct starting with the OP who thinks thier playing the system which IMHO they are clearly not ,,

Yeah, these claims pop up pretty regularly - always about a controversial "system" that's being promoted. For instance, there have been lots of claimed sightings of "pros using CTE".

Pat, I agree with your assesment overall, such as the first post here not being true. However, as far as CTE, one must separate what they are talking about. Stan teaches CTE/Pro 1. Hal Houle taught a different version of CTE that was incomplete in the way he taught it. CJ says his method of aiming is center to edge, hence a version of CTE. The Pinoys, at least some of them, use their own version of a center to edge alignment.

So, there are many pros using CTE, but not that many that use it the way Stan teaches it. Although there are a few that do it the way Stan teaches.

Everyone has some method, or system, to aim by. Many use the edges and centers for alignment and call it CTE. They are correct in it, but not the CTE we on here think of right away.

I doubt it. People think they see pros doing all kinds of things that aren't true - like using their favorite magic aiming system.

Its pretty clear when a pro or anyone hits low inside. Oh wait i forgot PJ is back, nothings clear unless DR. Dave posts a link to it.

You can see me do it in this match, watch closely and you'll see the effect after contact. For an entire match check out Accu-stats for my match with Steve Mizerak in Reno (1992) - this was my first Pro tournament in the United States, for years I had only been playing high dollar gambling matches.

First game in this video. I can see several shots with TOI but then you make an easy 9 with outside. Just curious why since inside is your master shot.

I love all the semantics and word games on here. Is it TOI or just "bit off center" or center or maybe just low off center or is it near center.

Whatever you want to call it, it is the way a ball is shot in a hole and the cue ball then "floats" or travels in a manner with little or no spin.

Maybe we can call it Slightly Off Center Kill System...SOCKS....

When your game goes to hell, put your SOCKS on and come back to the table and try again.

Aloha.

Why not call it what it is......a stun shot, nothing more.

I just came back from four days at the DCC. While sweating matches, or playing and watching my opponent or guys on an adjoining tables, I tried to learn something and watch for a variety of things. In those four days I saw no pro using TOI or CTE or Pro1. Efren, Bustamonte, Ignacio, Nevel, SVB, Dechaine, Skyler, Dalton,Frost, Orcullo, JJ, Lely, Alex, and more...

the cue ball came of the rail without extra after-contact spin.

At frame 5:18 I hit the 9 Ball with a touch of inside, the cue ball came of the rail without extra after-contact spin. This is splitting hairs though, that shot was super easy to make.

Remember, the 3 Part Pocket System is used with a touch of outside too. The only difference is you have to make sure to spin the cue ball to "throw" the ball into the center.

a "Touch of Skittle Ball"

Maybe they were all using a "Touch of Skid dle Ball" (TOSB). ;) LoL

You are correct CJ. I looked at it wrong originally.

Nice try, but in addition to not seeing any players using TOI, I also did not see any skids or skittle colored balls. Not saying there were no skids, just saying that in four days I didn't see any. And the balls were all traditional colors.

you probably didn't see anyone you couldn't beat either.

That makes sense, you probably didn't see anyone you couldn't beat either. ;)
