Nice report SJM, who do you feel deserves a spot on the Mosconi team based on Derby?
SVB, Hall, Dechaine and Sossei all showed just how strong they are as competitors. All four of them would make the team if I were choosing it.

Like I mentioned in other threads you're the best of the best with your reports. I tried to foil your concentration when I visited with you but it didn't work, your great at multi tasking. Was a real pleasure sitting with you, hope to see you again.

Great report as usual...but if I had known I wouldn't have made it into it; I woulda gave you a shove down the escalator when I said, "hi". Kidding....
Stu, you nailed it again with all the highlights of a long nine days. You may be the Pool world's number one sweater!
Pretty spot on assessment of the events from the Arena... Always a pleasure to see you at the events..... Hope to catch up with you at Hopkins if not I would think I might see you in June in New jersey sweating some one hole /wink...

Can anybody fill in the blank? I never found out who won the 9-ball mini. Nick Vandenberg told me he came third, but I never got the final result.
Nicely done Stu! It was great to get to see you again! Sorry we couldn't play craps again. Marco Teutscher won the nine ball mini. Steve Flemming second and Nick Vanden Berg got third.

I go to the Derby every year, and I STILL can't wait to read SJM's report!!!
Freddie <~~~ it was just like being there
I always enjoy his reports too!
Thank you, SJM.
Someone complained in a thread that he wasn't seeing enough coverage.
I told him that I kept seeing SJM on the stream so just give him time to get home.
You delivered, sir.

Yup, Teutscher 1st (I had misread the list). But Bautista 2nd, Fleming 3rd, Van den Berg 4th. Are the mini's open to everyone? What time of day (or night) are they played?
Actually, the minis are single elimination, so Fleming and Vandenberg tied for third as losing semifinalists.
As the minis have as many as 64 players, they require the use of most of the roughly 40 nine foot tables used for the primary Derby events. Hence, the minis must be held after hours. They typically start between 11:00 and midnight and go into the wee hours of the morning.
