Cuebuilders that worked with Pete Tascarella

i've been involved in the cue game for more than a minute and can't think of anyone, besides PETE Jr, who apprenticed or had a close working relashonship with PETE Sr
You may consider contacting my old friend Dean Cambell. who lives in your area. and has a plethora of cue related knowledge
99.9 percnt of his cues look like buskas......slowly produced to your specs then priced crazy high..he building alot of copyies clones knockoffs PERIOD...HEY RAMMIII TELL EM ALL TO KISS YOUR ASS...call donald spector at compation sports and tell him to snd you a box of balabuskas all models and pick you out 1 or 3 of them *****s out of 50 send the rest back..the dam cues hit great and look old school cool and when you reach back and feel your pockets you will feel more than just yo ass...you will feel that leftover cash...
The "Pete's" cues are worth every penny and more. The other comments aren't worth addressing...
Sometimes people write in code or what I like to term hieroglyphics. I feel that someone at times needs to decipher these coded messages so that everyone can understand them and the requirements of our fellow AZers. So with that in mind, here is my interpretation.
Interpretation:
I can't afford to have Pete build what I need so is there anyone out there who can do what he does for 1/2 the price?

I agree. I have not hit with another cue quite like one of Pete's. He's a legend in the industry and those who can get their hands on one of his cues are fortunate.

I hear you on the price and build time. I'm not sure I could wait a couple of years, but I was fortunate to buy mine here on AZ at a very reasonable price and no wait. I will say that my cue is an amazing player and many comments I've heard about Pete's cue indicate the same. If you get the opportunity to buy one, then I'd give it a try.
My cue is also a unique length, 62" with a 32" butt and 30" shafts. I'm 6'4 and have really enjoyed being able to open up my stroke with this longer cue. Point is I can't easily find 62" cues, so this one was a rare opportunity.

It seems pretty unusual that no one else has worked with Pete before. It must be true since we've got a pretty strong sense of collective wisdom here. I know Dean well and will ask him, although I worry about him trying to gamble for my cue :wink:

Hi! sorry to derail the thread a bit.
What is a compression fit joint? does the mezz united joint (5/16 14) have a compression fit joint?
The simple explanation is a joint where the outside wall of the shaft tongue contacts the inside wall of the joint as it is screwed together for a snug fit between shaft and butt... As far as Mezz, not sure but I doubt it...

I have to disagree with both your assessments. You don't reward bad behavior. The OP was not "jumped on". It appears he had a thin skin because no one said anything derogatory about him or to him to warrant his responses.
Regardless whether you believe he was "jumped on" or not, he resorted to fowl language and told other posters to "shut up" on more than one occasion. The use of fowl language is never necessary on a public forum. His comments were uncalled for and that's why the mods rightfully jumped in.
And, on that note I think we all need to move on.

Respectfully, YOUR "assessment" was unnecessary. You don't know the OP. You were reading into something that you couldn't possibly know. It's obvious he didn't really understand cues like you and I do and was looking for some guidance.
Some time ago I used to "read into" threads as well but now if I can't offer what the OP needs, even if I'm sure I'm reading into correctly, I just don't respond. It's the newer, softer side of Skins... You should try it. You'll be a happier person...:wink:

I feel the same way, no need to turn another person off to the attitudes of people who play the game and want it to thrive. I understand Joe has to deal with his share of morons being in sales, as I do as well, but a little respect goes a long way and biting the tongue never killed anybody. If I want to make a point I'll post in a new thread my issue, not actively seek and try to devalue another members post. That is unless it is so far over the top it is needed. Just my .02. Tom
