as much as I enjoyed "Pool Wars" I just don't know what to expect from the second book! Can't wait! (hope that's me who's got #9 Jay)
All I can tell you is that this book is different in many respects. There are several stories that are not pool related and there are sections about everything from The Philippine Experience, All About Gambling, A Poolroom Primer and My Little Black Book of Pool Secrets. Plus one story that is an expose involving one of the hallowed names in our sport (long since diseased).
It may not be all pool stories but I think they're all interesting ones for various reasons. As always the readers will be the best judge of how good More Pool Wars is. I suspect some will love it, some may not and some will fall somewhere in between. There is certainly enough pool in here to satisfy the hard core fan, with a lot of extra stuff thrown into the mix. Per usual, I will be on pins and needles while the reviews come in.
By the way there is a delay in printing, as my publisher found three serious errors that need correcting on the original file and it will put me in the back of the line. I am now looking at a print date 3-4 weeks away, an extra week that I did not anticipate. Be patient please, it's a comin'!
I know it is frustrating to have another delay, but really, think of how fortunate you are to have the opportunity to make the corrections. It is for the best...this is gonna be a legacy item...way cool.

Over half of the original 100 Proof copies are spoken for, but I still have many left.
Please specify a number above 50 (with a couple of second choices) if you're ordering now, online or by check. All the low numbers are gone. :wink:

Latest update on shipping Proof copies - Following the unexpected delay in printing (one week setback), More Pool Wars is in processing right now, with a completion date of March 18. Shipping (from the printer in Ohio) will take several days to get to me in Los Angeles, and all books will then be signed and shipped out via First Class mail. You should have your book within a few days after that, depending on what part of the country you live in. Overseas orders of course will take longer.
I have not sold all the Proof copies yet, so feel free to order one. Please specify a number above 60 with a second choice, as some numbers have been taken already.

All you writers are the same, here we go with the delays. Of course I've never written and published a book so I know all about how it should be done. Thanks for the update Jay, this is the kind of book I enjoy and i wish more pool people who were there would tell their stories.

Bill, you got 98, that's the closest I could get. :embarrassed2:
My wait time on this one is currently 3-4 weeks. Once my first full shipment arrives it will be down to a week to ten days. I don't like to wait, so I don't like to make other people wait on me. This time around all books will go out by First Class mail. I used Media mail last time and there were some long delays, as much as 10 days to get across the country, and a couple of books never arrived. Not this time!
