Gus and Barry Szamboti's

I found a Barry a couple of weeks ago that is the perfect
complement to my Gus. It took some doing to get the cue
away from the previous owner, because he would've liked
to have kept it. I'm glad we came to an agreement, because
I think these two belong in the same case and I'm glad that
case happens to be mine. I love the red stitch rings and the
fact that interchangeable shafts let you enjoy both father
and son's work all at one time.

Thanks for looking guys. Hope the pics are good.

What a delightful dilemma....or so I imagine. Is the cue Gus made a little heavier since it's from a different era?

Thanks Dan. Maybe one day I can get a pair of Tucker's.

Doesn't get any better....kudos

I agree wholeheartedly, thanks.

Best "Father/Son" combo I've ever seen...keepers for sure!

That's an awesome compliment, especially from someone who's seen
more than most. I certainly intend to keep these for life. I hope I don't do
something stupid down the road, like selling or trading. Thanks.

Very nice.

Thanks Troy.

It was a pleasure to deal with you buddy enjoy it!

It was even more of a pleasure for me...haha. Thanks buddy, enjoy that
big Mottey...great cue. It fits right in with all of the other great cues you've
got. Thanks again Jose.

Love the father and son duo. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks and I know you're very familiar with the Barry. Great playing cue
that I'm damn lucky to have.

That is a perfect way to describe them. I love the huge Szam's with all the
ivory, but these are more my cup of tea. I'll be putting a lot of play on them
both and not be afraid to take them out of the house. I regret not buying the
windowed Gus that you made available in 2013, but I'm glad I was able to
get these two.Thanks Joe.

It is a good problem to have...haha.

I am no Szam expert, but from the specs I've read in the past on the forums
Gus cues tend to be 20oz or so and Barry cues seem to be a little lighter
than that. I think in general, you'd be right with that assumption. However, in
the case of these 2 cues, the Gus weighs 19.4 and the Barry weighs 19.9.
I think I may have one of the lightest Gus cues out there and it plays perfect.
It took a few sessions to get used to the Barry, but I must say after putting a
few hours of play on it, the extra weight is no issue at all. Thanks Matt.

Outstanding cues Jerry. That Barry was a great pick up. Congratulations!

Thanks Todd. I'm very, very pleased with it and the Gus.
