One Year Ago Today

Yes, Nick...My eyesight is just fine, thank you! JB was running out, and on two tables at the same time. It figures that Lou would post up picture of JB's unorthodox stroke in that 1-pocket match, but Lou missed a bunch of balls too, regardless of whether he had "better form" than JB. One other thing...at least John had the balls to put up his own money...the same cannot be said for Lou.

Scott,
Your teaching skills are well known but I'm starting to question your eye sight. This guy was running out from everywhere? Maybe it's time we all chip in for some eye procedures?

Scott,
Lou didn't post the pics. That was my doing.

Gee, every pool player, pro or amateur, since the dawn of time who have gotten staked or formed a corporation like I did, have no cojones.

Gambling at pool according to Scott Lee.

Too bad we can't trade Lou for John

From the looks of his facebook posts, he and the family seem to be doing fine.

It surely is a different place without him.

I agree, John had so much to offer the forum, it's a shame he decided to be exclusive on Face Book....hopefully that will change in the near future.

Too bad we can't trade Lou for John, and throw in a set of balls. ;)

Remind me, Scott. Did you ever play CJ when he offered you the breaks and the two ball? I hope you bet your own money if you did.

I like Lou. He's knowledgeable, he's a great writer, and he has a very good sense of humor - something we could use more of around this place. Yes, he has an acerbic wit and doesn't pull any punches, but he says what he means and doesn't waffle about his opinions when confronted with a contrary majority view. He's a straight shooter IMO... even if he shoots poison-tipped arrows at times.

This has got to be one of the cruelest post I've seen in a long time.
It was exactly one year ago today that my cat was run over and killed by a car.
His name was Lucky. :sorry:

Too bad we can't trade CJ for John, and throw in some common sense ;-)

Question for Scott Lee: was John showing more balls when he was cheating during out match, getting coached by Dennis Spears?

Lou Figueroa
just wonderin'

Yes, I would like to know too. Also, thanks, Scott, for stopping by and saying hello during one of my matches at the Derby this year.

Just curious: what event(s) did you get in and how'd you do?

Hinting at a challenge to Scott, pretty sure you don't want to go there.

For the life of me, I just can't remember who John played in that match.
Funny usually people remember the winner. :rotflmao1:

I say trade Lou, for John sounds good, just throw in a set of those skittles
balls and done deal.

So anyways, I looked at the date of our original match and realized it'd been exactly one year. I hope he and family are doing well.

Lou Figueroa

If you hope he and his family are doing well, why the insulting photos? I have no respect for you Lou. You're a little man Lou who took advantage of someone who was emotionally unstable. It's pretty simple.

Tate,
I have to admit that I seem to agree with you 98% of the time but to make JB out to be the victim is a big piece of revisionist history. His conduct speaks for it's self. Just go back and check out the opening 3 minutes of the match to see the whole story. Lou walked in all business and JB brought the clowns and drama. Considering the BS Lou had to fade his little one year jab is completely onside. For more than three months before the match Lou was silent while JB did everything but insult the mans dog.

Nick

So does anyone know of a link to the match that works? I really would like to watch it. I dug a little but only found broken links or dead ends. Has the match been completely removed?
