I've not had time to post a press release on this yet, as I'm just now getting the initial correspondence on the match, so please spread the word!

  • Rodney Morris vs Edgie Geronimo
  • Race to 20 - 10-Ball
  • April 7th, 6pm PST
  • Played on 4.25" Gold Crown II / 9ft
  • Winner Break
  • Rack your own / No Magic Rack

The previous match was played on a table with 3 7/8" pockets. Much tighter than the proposed rematch. Edgie will be much more comfortable at his home room. Edgie also looked very tired on the day of the first match (just saying). Anyway - I await your feedback.

I visited the venue and checked their internet, which turns out to be too slow to stream a PPV event, so it's going to be FREE!

This being said, if you can support this event by donating to POV Pool I will promise to provide %50 of your donations to the losing player for gas money home and for putting on a show! Also don't forget - Donations of $30 or more to POV Pool will receive a Kamui Tip Voucher that is good for any Kamui tip including the Kamui Clear.

We are down to one final factor before I can officially announce this match. Rodney has to like the table he's going to play on. He will go to Epic Billiards at 4pm to see if he can get a good rhythm going and let me know by around 6pm this evening. All proposed rules and times are still a 'GO'.

Wow. I saw the end of that match on the stream and Rodney was running out like crazy - amazing to think he was doing that on such a tight table.

Gideon<----Did I mention "wow"?
 
My prediction remains that same as the last match.

If Rodney doesn't get flashy and just does his stuff, he should prevail.

The young guy may have a better eye than Rodney does now, but Rodney has the "edge" on Edgie when it comes to pool smarts and "been there, done that before".

Well, slow internet means possible glitches. Possible glitches mean customer service issues. I will still be able to stream, but there is a chance that there may be a few 'drops' in service. That said, I think 'FREE' is the way to go, so as so avoid customer service issues. Once again, neither Rodney or Geronimo are being paid to perform at this event, so if you care to donate to POV Pool starting now, I will promise to provide 50% of my proceeds to the loser of this match.

I don't think I have ever bought a POVPOOL PPV in the past but I am far more likely to do so in the future. There are many people who would charge a PPV, end up with a bunch of issues, and then blame it on the internet connection. Your honesty about the slow internet, and your spending your time to "still" provide the stream for free so that fans of this sport can see this match is not lost on me, and I am sure it is not lost on many of the others here as well. Thanks man.
 
So is this match a "go" for sure? I know there were some specifics or decisions to be made, any update is appreciated thank you so much for everything!!
 
I am looking forward to this match. Thx to Daniel for doing it, especially for free. So, whats the story now? It is 6pm PST... since this is 9 hours before my time zone, id be glad to know if the stream is gonna happen or not.

While I was in the movie theater watching Fast n Furious 7, I got a text from Rodney saying that he is a 'GO' and that it will probably be a race to 25 this time!!!
