No chance for Frost. Harsh reality

Am I the only one that HATES "games ahead" matchers? Pick a number and go to it. I like hill/hill matches, I like to know what it needed to win the match. A nice long race is very good for both sides, and the fans.

Surely, it's a better way to make money. Win "this" many games, take home the cheese, go find more action ;)
I think both players are playing for much more than money here.
They're competing in a contest of egos. The money means very little, if anything.
After 61 games played Alex is 1 game ahead.
If they were playing a race to 31 here Alex wins by 1 game that proves nothing really
about who the best player is and that is what this match is really all about.

I don't think Scott and Alex are playing to put on a show for the viewers. This isn't something made to be exciting for the fans or the railbirds. They're playing because they have something to prove and something to win, and we're just lucky enough to get an inside view of it happening. If you want to see a race to 3 and hill hill matches, accu-stats is having the round robin one hole tournament next weekend with 6 of the best in the world. It's just different strokes for different folks. I myself am a fan of these marathon sessions. Sure, they have their "boring" times, but these are the kinds of matches people talk about for years to come. No one talks about the time Alex beat Scott 3-2 in the second round of a tournament.

i'd say to be clear, I don't think Frosty can win. I don't think for sure he will lose, but Alex is the best grinder still breathing. The longer the set goes, the more I like his end of it. Let us not forget how he ground out SVB race to 100. (granted way different situation.)

Alex is a much higher all around caliber player than Scott. I dont think anyone is debating that. Alex is playing Frosts game, and this is far from over. I will bet any amount of money, that Frost won't play the similar race with another game.

All that being said, I like this match, and it is very enjoyable. I migh even buy a DVD, or download if available.

It's obvious Alex has been toying with Scott the last three days because he's been having so much fun in Vegas and tonight he'll just mop it up.

What has been the biggest lead for each side? I think it was like 4 for Alex and maybe 2 for Scott or? What a grind this is. Regardless of who wins this match the other person can't say they dominated them. This is like an overtime game 7 here...great stuff.

I think if Scott pulls this out then there's nobody else to play...... One hole that is

No misreading of this ---- you clearly state Alex will win and Frost is intimidated. That is actually hilarious cause if you knew Scott at all he hasn't been intimidated in a very long time. 60 games and the match is still anyone's to win but your comment 'not the same caliber' is lacking, so say it mildly.

And I still think Alex will win but definitely not Scott
Scott does look intimidated as many other posters in this thread have said
Frost is playing tight and gun shy unlike he does against many other players
Also in this post Scott is 2:1 3:5 on the money so I think clearly majority of people are in agreement

No need to say anything mildly

I think there's at least one more person. I know of a couple people that think SVB can win this game. Side note: I am not one of them.

But let's not forget that svb and Alex have already played this game and if I remember right it wasn't one sided either, and that was a couple of years ago. I think it's safe to say they're both better one hole players now. Especially svb.

I think Shane wants 9/8 if I heard right from Scott? That statement might have been from a while back though from Facebook.

I thought it was the other way around. That's back when they were woofing on Facebook and Shane posted a picture of him holding the cash. Then Scott did the same. Then more woofing and it died down.

It looks like from one pocket org Shane beat him after Scott gave up 8/7 for $15k in 2011 (post by calired)....I thought I saw on FB from Shane he wanted 9/8 but he might have been joking...it was a while ago.

I don't think he has hope in hell getting ahead 8. I wonder how many more days this goes on, When Alex was up 4 after the first I figured it would be done in 2. Now, I don't see any light at the end of the tunnel

Can I get 3/5 to 1? I will bet a hundo! :grin-square:

2 days. I think Alex was toying with Scott for the first two days, especially day 2 after he had felt out what Scott could do on the new table and get a feel for his abilities on it.

I do not think Alex toyed with him on Day 3, I think on day 3 Alex tried to turn it on more and start building a lead and pull away but he actually flubbed a few shots he would normally make and Scott was putting up a very good fight and was able to keep Alex from extending his lead or keep it.

I was none of the weirdo shots from Alex in day 3 that I saw in day 2. In day 2 some of the shots made no sense, there was no rhyme or reason into why he even played certain things the way he did. In Day 3 Alex tightened up his game and played smart and looked to be playing to win, but he missed a few key shots that could have had him end last night +5 instead of +1.

Nice trend for the Freezer  I have watched them all and I am tired being in FL. Tonight will be very good. Scotty will be turning the thermostat down.
