No chance for Frost. Harsh reality

You obviously weren't in any pool room on the west coast

Look back at the build up to this match
It was widely stated that to get a decent bet you had to give 1.5:1 or 2:1 on the money

In this thread Cleary was offered 3:1 on the money by someone

Well your right there ,, I was just going by what I see here ,, I do think Alex wins , in fact I think Alex right now is the best all around player on the continent ,

I'd have to agree with you there
Any game any table anywhere he seems to produce
Quite the feat if you think about it

I always thought with apple tons mentality he would be a top notch one hole player
I know he's getting better but though he would be in the mix by now

I'm curious if this table has brand new cloth? Does anyone know for sure how old is the cloth?

When Scott played Richie Richeson in New Orleans, he played on a table that had brand new cloth.
Scott is a top one pocket player and beat Richie convincingly but most everyone gets more aggressive on a table that has brand new cloth because the pockets accept the object balls more easily than broke-in cloth.

I like your posts typically honest even though I know your close with Scott

I agree when Scott played Richie richeson he was more aggressive but more importantly he could execute

In this match up like I said before he seems intimidated even if he doesn't admit it

I agree seeing Shane play winner
He would be the under dog for me
Anyone confirm that Scott didn't post the 25 and instead playing for 20k?

The cloth is a few weeks old.

25-25 score since this post. This is about as even as it gets, this time. I can't imagine after this match saying that either player is definitively the best.

Does Scott still have NO CHANCE?

I don't think he has hope in hell getting ahead 8. I wonder how many more days this goes on, When Alex was up 4 after the first I figured it would be done in 2. Now, I don't see any light at the end of the tunnel

I think it will end up being a battle of the endurance. As long as they stay away from Vegas' distractions, either one of them has an equal chance. This is a great match-up! :)

I agree JAM, The hookers and blow must wait

What a great match one of the best i have ever seen. We are watching the greatest one pocket battle of our time this will go in the history books guys

I am among the many who thought Alex was better than Scott at one pocket after watching most of their previous match. Years ago Frost would come to LA to play in a tournament and have a standing offer of 10-6 for the local champs. I always thought he was a little overrated. I don't anymore.

This kind of thing should spark interest in one pocket. There is just so much depth to the game. It is pool's version of chess.

I think your misreading my point
I didn't say Scott can't win games or isn't one if the best players
I don't think Scott has any chance whatsoever getting 8 ahead
He been fighting from behind whole time which credit to him
When Alex turns it on he gets 3-4 ahead
Then loses concentration
Alex is being way more aggressive than usual I think because he is the favorite he feels need to win games quickly but it's actually costing him games

It is currently 6-5 to Alex
I know it's close and premature but you can tell frost is intimidated by Alex

Alex will win this match
Why?
Because he is much better player all round

Alex has not got out of second gear yet when he does Scott in big trouble

I'm watching so I know if Scott does the impossible and beats Alex I will retract my post but he just doesn't look in same caliber

He struggles to get out
Got more knowledge for sure but he misses too much simply

Al

No misreading of this ---- you clearly state Alex will win and Frost is intimidated. That is actually hilarious cause if you knew Scott at all he hasn't been intimidated in a very long time. 60 games and the match is still anyone's to win but your comment 'not the same caliber' is lacking, so say it mildly.

Am I the only one that HATES "games ahead" matchers? Pick a number and go to it. I like hill/hill matches, I like to know what it needed to win the match. A nice long race is very good for both sides, and the fans.

Surely, it's a better way to make money. Win "this" many games, take home the cheese, go find more action ;)

This thing is just going on and on.
