A member of the forum and very reputable seller sent me a lengthy message and was upset because I commented and accidentally quoted the post "Damn. Full Retail." ON A NEW CUE. Which is fine! Ordering direct from some companies is more expensive than ordering from Seyberts and that is okay. That being said there was a website that sold the cue for say $200 less. I missed the part of his post that said he didn't want any comments on the post. Which was probably his way off saying if you want to get a hold of me, please message. That is okay but If I asked somebody not to comment on my post in the main forum and I was advertising some new book or aiming system, tool etc. I would be crucified.
I'm not upset with the seller, nor do I wish him any ill will. I hope he sells a million more cues because that means the industry is thriving. What I don't like is getting messaged with passive aggressive tones because he made an assumption. That is the biggest mistake in the world of sales and if I did that to a client I'd probably lose my job. I have since deleted the comment as to not single him out.
If he had said, "Hey man, I saw your comment and you quoted and commented and now the post looks all goofy. I'm not sure if you read but I asked for people not to comment, so could you please do me a solid delete that I'd appreciate it. Also the cue is priced this way because blahblahblah" I would have apologized, said sure thing, no problem and everything would be cool.
Also saying "Have a good day." after telling somebody what you think about them or their character is the same as saying "No offense, but.."
So no offense but have a good day :grin-square:
