Shanelle Loraine

The top 100 is very subjective. I think this young lady has a good heart and tries hard, that's enough for me. Although I have never met Shanelle I have a feeling she is a nice kid.

I think at some point, say past the age of 12, just being cute and trying hard is not enough. There are models and there are pool players, some are more of one than the other.

REALLY, BIG, BIG NAMES coming too!

Shanelle's a sweetheart and her game has continued to get better each year. She has a warm smile for everyone and a bad word does not cross her lips. I wish her the best in whatever she does and the pool industry is blessed to have someone as lovely as her. :smiling-heart:

Shane Van Boening has a nice smile when he isn't crushing opponents. Oh yeah, he'll be there too.

I believe she is a very nice woman. Most of the grief she gets is because of the BS about her game from CW. She never said she was a pro as far as I know. Johnnyt

I have a eight footer in our lunch room where I work and have been introducing players to the game on this table since 1986. About ten years ago I talked a short fat guy named Ray (in his 60's) into trying to play. Ray was as enthusiastic about pool as anyone I have ever seen. Ray is one of the worst players I have ever seen play, although he is a smart man and a excellent carpenter he just does not understand even the simplest things about the game.

About five years ago I made Ray a Sneaky Pete cue as a gift and everyday I watch Ray trudge up the stairs at lunch time and go to his locker and get his cue. He never quits smiling, Ray sits down patiently with his cue in his hand and waits for his turn just to get his butt kicked. Ray sits down and continues to smile while he waits to see if he gets another chance before lunch is over. Some days he may not ever get to the table...it doesn't matter to him

Even though he cannot make three balls in a row he never says a word or gets down on himself.
The look on Shanelle's face when she is around a table is the same look as Rays, they are people who just love the game.

We all know a few and personally I wish there were more who were just happy to be a part of this game even though they may not play as good as others.

Now that is a nice story. My wife thinks Colorado would be one of the places we could move to if we ever move from Mass, I'll have to say hi to Ray if we do.

I can make that happen! Let me know if you pass through and we can meet up. I have been known to frequent the northeast also.

I have to point out though her game does vary widely, Shanelle is capable of respectable play. She finished in the top half of the International 10 Ball at Steinway last year -64 players from all over. No they weren't all champions but they weren't all tomato cans either. Ga Young won it.

Many people like to knock Shanelle but almost all of them come from the ranks of those who have never met her. Not too many from the other side. I never met even one. She is a fine brave lady who loves the game.

I think she's a little older than a kid. There is no doubt that if her game matched
her look, she would be world champ. Now on the other hand, if her look matched
her pool game, she would look like Edith Bunker and Rosanne Barr with a sprinkle
of Monkey S--t.

guess who has vip seats and we'll be watchin her close up :) this is gonna be one helluva tourney.,

The ROCKET will be in attendance........

Just for trivia's sake.

Shanelle is a Pacific Islander (Chamorro) from Guam and Rodney has ties to Guam being of Chamorro/Hawaiian descent.
One time Rodney was on a televised match and guy from Guam pointed to the TV and said "Hey, I used to baby-sit that f**ker!" -True story.
