My nine year old could of changed the servers and never took down the site.
They hired some knucklehead and it took them two days....
Let me guess..... They hired the cheapest Information technology tech they could find.....
NO WAY EVER SHOULD OF THE SITE BEEN DOWN FOR SO LONG FOR SIMPLE SERVICE.

There's something I don't understand, are you unhappy with the people running the AZ website or are you unhappy with the people that post on the AZ website? Because one really doesn't have anything to do with the other and switching websites really won't solve the issue.

1P.org is a dedicated forum. Lurk a little and decide if it's for you.
AzB is great forum. What don't you like about the management. Just curious. Best you complain to them. Best things in life are free, AzB being one of them.

Agree about 1p.org. I joined just to learn a bit about 1 pocket, but it's a very tight clique over there...not a lot of room for a foreigner without much knowledge on one pocket. I do enjoy reading the WWYD threads, though. I've learned quite a bit from those. It's not my place to butt in, though. Who am I to argue with Billy Incardona on a one pocket shot...So I don't post a lot.
Azb on the other hand, has got it all: Straight pool, aiming, NPR etc, etc. Great site, free, great people. I like it so much here, even when I was fed up and ready to quit, I just couldn't do it. Some people on here are bound to dislike you, I don't care who you are. I got quite the hater group against me, even more have me on ignore. Don't really care about that. If you do care there are a million tricks to win friends on any forum, the most important one is to just suck up to the right people...I don't really do that.
Still there are always plenty of people ready to interact with you in a friendly manner. Good luck to you, whatever you choose to do.
I'm a rookie/newby also. On the WWYD threads it's about what would you do at your level. Nobody will laugh at your post. Feel free to chime in. We have to start somewhere. Most people on 1P.org will help/ support you. There are all level of players there. Not everyone is great player. I'm not but I'm having fun learning. BTW you are only a foreigner if you lurk. Otherwise you're part of the forum. Billy I. will alway help with any question or situation. He seems to be a sharing well respected Gentleman. My favorite poster is Tom Wirth. I take lessons from him. He loves to teach and will also share his knowledge in a positive way if you have questions. He has a book called One Pocket... a game of controlled aggression. Well worth buying. And don't be concerned with the cliques...join in to learn the game. I'm GoldCrown on !p.org

Ok, calculating mode ON, let's see, thirty days has September, April June and November... must be 31 days in August, 24 hours per day, site was down for about 46 hours, the refund is therefore TA DAH exactly 6.18% of the monthly service fee.
But, some of us don't pay a monthly service fee, we get it all kinda for free, being cheapskates and all, but that's no hill for a climber, we'll settle for a cool six bucks eighteen cents rebatiture, refundable irredeemably. That's because our clever formula of paying zero dollars monthly should not interfere with our rights to a windfall of petty cash.

It's not as if we wanted them to refund everything we've not ever paid, including that one month we actually went with Golden Showers Membership to get a non-free entry to enter a contest for some vabulous freebiture.
We want our six bucks, eighteen cents, that's all amigos, the point being to replenish and replace our discomforture, and allow us to continue to enjoy our crapotractus neckollavity.
People have been saying Appleton should give refunds to gamblers who bought him in the Calcutta, since he overslept and they lost their chance to win money off him, so this is not so different, giving refunds to non-paying customers. I like it - it makes great sense, in an AZB kind of way.
If you had any idea what the actual situation was, then you might be qualified to comment on it. But you don't.
