Dunno about you, but every time Mike was getting ready to shoot I would get a little nervous for him. Just goes to show he did not seem ready for this.
 
Holy crap over strokes the 7 ball, leaves Waleed the cross corner bank. Waleed goes all out at the make on the 8 ball and swishes it. Bashir needs to be buying Waleed dinner tonight he played perfect and saved his ass!!!! Tough early exit for the USA yikes
 
Qatar wins 6-7.

They played more solid than our best 2 players. Race to 7 is brutal.

Mike scratched cross side and Shane scratched trying to safe 1 ball.

We lost to better play...that is all.

I think USA would have won if he would have missed that first 3 ball that rattled in. After that Dechaine just deferred to SVB and didn't trust himself. Dechaine plays much better than that. He's still a top 3 American for sure.

WTF? Mike's cross side scratch was after cueball hit rail by side pocket facing. It didn't come off true.

Shane plays safe off 1 ball and straight into the corner pocket 1 foot away. Not sure what that was.

They were outplayed.

Qatar played strong. They are not weak players anymore. But, USA missed and scratched more than normal. Tough loss for a favorite.

Waleed was the best player on the table in that match and he held up Bashir better than SVB could hold up Mike. Qatar was a very deserving winner.
