Glad to see the spots filling up!

Must be an all-time high for international players?

Amazing! the feraners really care about those points-I had no idea.

BB has more lives than a cat i guess. Congrats BB!

I don't think it's about points as much as it's about the addition to your resume of "US Open 9 ball champion".

I had this thought after last year. Based on comments and emotions from players surrounding the racking issues, from Niels to Dennis O. niels has said before it's the one title that eludes him.

If this was such a cakewalk tournament (as some describe it when comparing it to other international tournaments) it wouldn't be sought after as it is.

BB certainly does have nine lives, and it's the name that really was his last and most important chip which no one could take away.

Going forward, I believe this tournament will be better than ever.

yeah but for 85% of the foreigners (and Americans), they have no chance of winning-just a shot at 'points'.

Thanks for the number breakdown, Spartan.
Details like that are always interesting to follow.

Also, Do you know if (lets say the field does get to 128) this will be the first full US Open field in how long?

And will this be a record for the first full field with the highest price tag per player?

There really do seem to be a lot of players missing from the US Open list?

Justin Hall I would think would be a sure thing? Scott Frost give up trying to be on "Mosconi Cup"? Surely Josh Roberts or Danny Smith could hang with most? Has Dennis Hatch faded away? Shane Winters, Shane McMinn just BB champs? Rob Saez and "Hillbilly" should be tough enough? Are there really a 128 better than Chris Bartram? Oscar Dominguez and pops? Tony Chohan, Alex Olinger and Hennessee from Tennessee. Shannon the Cannon could fire a shot heard round the world?

Where are all of the 4, 5 or a 25 Mosconi Cup caliber team members, some small island in Europe, boasts of? Daryl Peach should have a new found enthusiasm and Mark Gray seems worthy? The Philippines shouldn't they have a least 4 or 5 more champions entered at this point? Roberto Gomez, Carlo Biado and is Buste to old? Where are the Russians or could someones nose be so out of joint as hold back their visas? Should *Malta not send a representative? Hunter Lambardo plays every tournament over seas?

*Had to include that one because Tony is so much fun

It wouldn't surprise me if the registrations actually picked up now, with people worried that they might not get in if they wait.

I don't think its possible to NOT fill at this stage.

The only thing I can that happening is if it fills, and there are a couple of no-shows for whatever reason, and maybe no one is on standby to take their place because they figure they can't get in anyway.

IMO, this is filling because of Pat's handling of the money, and the assurance this has given to all the players. I hope Pat does this every year. I think he will have more high-end matches this year due to all the international talent. I hope Pat sells a million dvd's for all he must have had to go through to set up his handling of the money.

At one point i didn't think i would crack 100, now it's looking like a full field and my picks aren't going to hold up in the pool! SOAB :)

Field is getting stronger. 25 of the world top 50 by Fargo Rating are entered. These ratings are current as of 9-28-15

When the entries are full, will you do a Fargo Chart for just those who have entered please? Thanks

Yeah, I don't even like 9 ball that much, but I think I'll have to buy an Accu-Stats from the event just to reward what Pat has done!

So you're saying that increased trust in Barry, not to mention wanting to listen to his speech, has nothing to do with it?

Correct. In fact, we should all email Pat and ask him not to allow Barry anywhere near a mic! Or at the very least, if he does get on a mic, broadcast white noise instead of his speech.
