I was glad to be back...until now

Last night while playing $200 sets, and the other night as well I found myself thinking about the arguments/people on azb instead of the game. I realized that I had been free of azb's toxic members and for that I was much happier.

I like the forum format but this climate is poisonous. There are good people left here. And I have no doubt that the terrible troll-like posters are decent people in real life. On here though they push the rules to the limit with how they demean and harass. It's so pervasive that it's become normal.

From the outside looking in this forum could be a wealth of great information and a true nexus in the industry between players fans and pros and industry folks.

But, it won't be that way until like the EPA did with the Cuyahoga river the trash is permanently removed and rules are enforced that insure it doesn't continue to be polluted.

What drivel. How you get away with guff like this is amazing...

Of course, if self-important, megalomaniac shillsters didn't spam up the place with unnecessary crap, there wouldn't be the reaction you claim.

Next up: criminals in 'not being terribly keen on cops' shocker.

I've no objection to your posts on here, but please, enough with the moral outrage about other posters. Have a damn good look in the mirror first, eh?

why the need to mention of playing 200 dollar sets? is that a lot? I don't think it is

I was banned, rightfully so, for 6 months. Now I am not certain why I was happy to be back. I have to put to many people on my ignore list just so I don't get banned again. The Main Forum has become a joke. Thankful that the ignore feature exists!

Just a general comment; I've never understood why when people get
banned they don't just start a new ID under a new email address.
Once the ban is off they can go back to the other ID original ID if they so please.

Wow.......just WOW!!!!!

The fact that YOU would say this is beyond amazing.

Talk about pot calling the kettle black.

And the 200 dollar mention? Is that supposed to make us think
"wow this guy knows pool.....I better order a case from him".....lol

Thanks for the funny joke.

Just relaying what was going through my mind while playing. If it had been league then I would have said that.

But now that you mention it.....yeah, this guy knows pool so you better order a case from him. I like that, I will quote you on it. ;-)

It was just the situation, had I been playing league and had the same issue of being distracted internally by AZB forum nonsense then I would have said that.

$200 wasn't meant to sound high, it was practice, races to 15 for $200. Still enough to buy something nice though.

That's probably because you have chosen not to acknowledge the attacks on my family and my person.

Could you ever for example answer anyone's question about the history of Schon cues? No, but Evan Clarke can and he CHOOSES not to participate here because of the toxicity. Ever wonder why pros are happy to participate on facebook and not on AZB?

Because on FB they control the situation when someone starts trolling them by blocking them and thus REMOVING them from the conversation. Let me tell you why this is important. On here I can ignore you with a button which removes you mostly from view. But it doesn't stop you from being able to make hateful comments and even slanderous ones about me in any conversation I am involved in.

On each person controls who is allowed to comment on their timelines and posts. This is why no one trolls me on FB because if anyone tries I just block them and they aren't part of the discussion any more. But on here when someone is being harassing or worse the object of their attention can't do anything to stop it from happening. So the pros and the industry veterans are much more active on facebook for this reason among others.

Go to any big show and walk around and ask the vendors if they participate on AZB and record their reactions. They range from laughter to fear. You will hear some quite colorful opinions of the general level of intelligence of the posters on AZB.

And I always point out that there are good people on AZB and that MOST of the posting members are decent humans. Unfortunately it's a small group of bad apples spoiling the bunch in many people's eyes. I promise you that were this my forum a lot of people who contribute NOTHING but negativity would be gone. Post history tells the tale and those for whom the shoe fits can't escape the indictment of their character based on what they post.

This one you cannot shoot the messenger on... The industry and pro players shun AZ like the plague...

Everyone gets pissed off at whoever says it but that is the reality.. I hear it all day long at an event.... No one inside the industry bothers and most regular players only lurk....

It's like the old Penthouse forum...I go the mid-western college...These three girls picked me up and took me by the hand...I pulled out my 11 inch member...

I don't like it when when people who continually ignore the rules and are let back only to repeat the old behavior...but it's not my village.

Nick.

John Barton, people. Victim.

And what, pray tell, can they contribute? Everyone creamed themselves when CJ turned up, and look what happened there.

The idea pros or those involved in the industry (whatever that means) would make this place fantastic if they were given special privileges is fanciful at best. And look who's shilling the idea - those with products all over the main forum.

I would give you *more* red, but I have to spread it around again.

You continue to post anonymously (some believe under mutliple forum names) jumping in and out of threads with an effort to cause hurt and/or anger.

I never thought I'd say this, but thank goodness for Facebook. Many of the *regular* AzB-ers have emigrated to Facebook and enjoy a rich pool-related colloquy on a daily basis, just like we used to here on this forum. That emigration provides a playground for trolls, banned members posting, and multiple-identitied members on AzBilliards forum today.

A strange criticism from a person whose only post in the thread is such a negative one.

I agree with Ron Swanson's point on the perceived value of "pros" or "industry people" posting on the forum.

What's that old Groucho Marx quote? I don’t care to belong to any club that will have me as a member?
Any pro you would actually want here likely has neither the time nor the inclination to post. The ones that do show up are invariably trying to sell something and therefore contribute little more than spam or obfuscation. See: CJ Wiley.

You're wrong. Your membership stems from 2011. This forum used to welcome pros, and pros used to post here.

I don't care what you write or think about me, but you are DEAD WRONG about pros or industry members posting on AzBilliards. There was once upon a time when this forum used to rock and roll with pool.

Of course, you're entitled to your opinion based on your experience since 2011.

Oh, and FWIW, my posts are very limited in recent times, thanks to the joy of posting here to members just like you.

I am sure there are active posters doing that currently.
