Bad Problem with John Showman, (Cue Stolen)

Yes, you let us all know quite frequently how "powerful" you believe you are, and how you are an attorney. I knew this would be a messed up type thread when I saw you decided to be one of those guys and say that John Showman Converted your stick and then proceeded to tell us all what converted meant, since we are well below your socioeconomic level.

None of the attorneys that I've ever met talk like that. But hey, you have a $7,000 stick, and I have 4 that are worth much less than that total.

My usual hourly rate is $350, but for you I'd make an exception and set my rate at $1,050 per hour.

John told me earlier this week that either he or his wife would be shipping my cue back this coming Monday, 11/2. I sure hope that he keeps this promise.

If you truly felt secure being an attorney that makes a shit ton of money, you wouldn't feel the need the let the rest of us know about it. I have news for you- anyone else could have started a thread and pressured him the SAME way you have. Any of us could have contacted the local authorities (John's area), filed complaints and went in front of a judge. This is not a case where "true attorney expertise" is required. Plenty of us can ask each other here for advice.

I don't like what happened to you. It is flat wrong. You DO however, come off as a passive/aggressive narcissist and it gets old. I don't care how big and powerful you THINK you are. Narc's are all the same. Damage their ego's and they take years to recover. I've dealt with a few. Up close and personal, they are cowards. All of them. At least the ones I've been around. Maybe you aren't and maybe that is a bit strong, but stroking yourself about how much money you have is a superiority complex.

Notice how I don't tell YOU that I make six figures a year or I make minimum wage. I don't care what you think and I need not try to impress anyone.

I read these circumstances much differently. This may have been addressed to the entirety of AZ Billiards, but was intended specifically for that douchebag Showman. Or any of his nut-huggers who would relay the message. I'm sure the intention was to let Showman know he was f*****g with the wrong guy. One not without resources and capabilities. That your sensibilities didn't let you feel empathetic that this member was a victim of a felony crime is really the shame.

I think Showman is lucky he hasn't run into a customer who subscribes to the late Chris Kyle's mantra "violence solves all problems".

If you haven't noticed, there's more than enough to go around here. It mixes well with the run of the mill players that bark like big dogs. I also agree with NYC.. if someone was trying to screw me over like that, you're damn right I'd be explaining why not to. At least it wasn't big, bad 2strong4u, offering w2 bets and pretending to be a shortstop with the fargo rating of a decent league player.

We have had dealings several years ago on eBay and all went well.
You are a man of your word. Keep your eye and mind on the Prize.
I'd like to believe that everyone wants you to be made whole in your
endeavor to get your cue back. I hope I am correct in that assumption.
I, personally, would be beside myself by now, but you are taking the
right apprpoach by keeping John's heels to the fire right here where it
matters most to him, his customer base.
Let's hope he does the right thing and ships the Cue on Monday.

i hate to say this! But, it ain't looking good! With everything that has happened, why wait til the last minute to ship out on Monday???

It is not that hard to text, email or call with the tracking number! Plus, it is "8 hours of work" per his own words and you have given another 2 plus weeks! Something just ain't right! Especially, when his own friend JCIN has said he was "lied to" its time to go off. But, even if this is sent out on monday, i would be pissed and it would not reassure "me" or other potential customers!

QC will receive tracking # on Monday. QC receives package later this week. QC opens package to discover it is empty. QC calls Showman to which his response is " oh may bad I forgot to put your cue in there, I'll send it right out in two weeks " Rinse & repeat.

I too ordered a custom Break Cue from a man in Tulsa... That was 5 years ago... when he sees me in the Pool Room, he just leaves. What a sack of S**T. He's too big & I'm an old man or I'd face him down & beat the S**T out him. Not because I didn't get the cue, probably would have been a S**T stick anyway, but I hate a liar & thief.
