Dennis calls Shane out for 20k

SVB will not only win this...he will win by a wider margin than anyone has ever seen a great player get beat by. There really will be blood on the walls and it's likely to be all Dennis's

These matches with backers money shouldn't impress anyone. I'd rather see Shane and Dennis play for a $5,000 of there own money. Though as long as there are rich gambling degenerates this will never happen. The fear of loosing money is more pressure than winning.

Dennis called Shane out with another man's bank roll. Damn he has big balls lmao, more like a big joke. I hope shane mops the floor with them.

Race to 160? Really? WHY?

Because sometimes 100 isn't good enough.

Edit: If this does go down, will this be the longest race ever? Efren vs. Earl was a race to 120, I can't think of a match that's been longer than that.

It's only right, Shane is the new Earl and Dennis is the modern generation's Efren.

USA vs. Phillipines continues!!

Earl vs Mike Segal
But that wasn't a race really, they just played for a few days.

Cool, how long did they play for and what was the result?

Did u forget about Efren vs Earl in Hong Kong ?
Race to 120 for $100K.
What's funny about that one was, it was originally set for race to 100. And was changed to race to 120 when they got to Hong Kong.
Earl was ahead 104-87 and LOST.
He would have won the race to 100 easily.

Yeah I mentioned that match in my post as being the longest race I can remember. Are you talking about their rematch?

The rematch was shorter for a lot less cash.
I liked the Busta-SVB 3-night race to 25, best of 3 format .

Race to 160 can be brutal. One could lose by 60 games. :D

Dennis will never be like Efren. Modern generation in for disappointment.

While Mars may have "balls the size of basketballs", I'm guessing he thinks Shane is pretty much a lock in this format against Dennis.

SVB does not "have" to be a lock. If Dennis wants to win this thing he better be putting in 3-4 hours of practice doing "nothing but breaking" for every day until this thing goes off.

Most people probably think Dennis is a slight favorite "after" the break against SVB, but in these long 10-ball matches he gets eviscerated because he simply cannot produce the packages SVB can because of his unproductive break.

If Dennis puts in the time, works on his break and gets it to a point where he can actually do what SVB does, or what Ko does, then would be pretty damn tough to beat.

These pros need to start figuring out that a good break is like a good serve in tennis, it is critical to success, not just a shot that starts the game. It IS a huge portion of the game.

But for C Players and below the break means NOTHING!!. I say this just to save that one guy who cant pocket 2 balls in a row from feverishly working on his break, thinking it is the key to success.

BTW- offer withdrawn

Dennis is a great player. How is he a disappointment? He shoots straighter than Efren ever did. True, Efren beats everybody ever in strategy, but it isn't like Dennis is a dummy in this department either- he did win the US Open 1 pocket a few years ago
