Here we go again with "videos prove nothing" by Pat "The Final Word On Pool" Johnson.
If videos prove nothing, EVERY VIDEO done by Dave Alciatore and Bob Jewett prove nothing. They're bogus, worthless total wastes of time for them to have been made as well as those who view it. When they made the videos they were trying to prove something. Where did it go wrong?
The videos done by Joe Tucker teaching how to apply contact point aiming with the training balls and numbers on them, the table grid, and how to match the numbers when aiming between the OB and CB must also prove nothing. When Joe made the videos he was trying to prove something. Where did it go wrong?
You gave live lessons to clueless Northwestern University pool beginners who never picked up a cue in their life and dazzled them with your laser beam pen on contact points and they thought you were some kind of pool rock star. Did it help to teach (prove) anything to them? If the answer is "yes", what would be the difference if your beyond professional lesson was captured on video to prove and reinforce everything you taught as they watched it again?
And IF any one of those students copied every word of your script, set balls up while illustrating contact points and then shot them into pockets while making a video as they did it...wouldn't it prove they now knew what they were talking about and how to perform it? Conversely if they made a video and stated a number of INCORRECT points based on what was taught either in a live lesson or your video lesson, wouldn't it prove they didn't yet know what the hell they were doing or talking about? Also valuable and revealing proof.
Same thing can be done with CTE. But somehow or another it proves NOTHING when YOU or Dan White have to be at the table on video as you throw out the same lame excuse time and again.

What were you trying to PROVE when you made the "pool for 1st graders" videos as you shot simple cut shots and draws that Stevie Wonder could have executed and then put them up on youtube?
I can't imagine how life changing it must have been for the millions of pool players who happened to stumble upon them. Proof positive.

We've talked about this a few times. I prefer to sight down the
contact point-to-contact point line, but that puts my head in
different positions over the stick depending on the shot and can be
physically difficult for cue ball contact points "outside" the stick,
so I adjust it for comfort and consistency.
I also like to move my head back and forth to sight down more than one of the available lines, including cue ball path, just for cross reference
(I might look a little like a lizard doing this). . I like to know that my stick is
pointing where I want it to, but "sight down the stick" doesn't work
by itself for me.

And posting a person shooting style has what to do with credibility? I mean if a person says they do xyz and than they show a video that clearly, objectively shows that they are doing what they say, thats pretty credible.

So you have learned every aspect of CTE as Stan teaches it to be able to demonstrate on the table instead of the continuous bad mouthing? On your so-called honor?
You shoulda videoed the whole thing. (still not too late)
The video will prove everything because we'll know immediately based on your descriptions of the shot angle and alignments used for each shot. It won't matter whether the OB goes in or misses unless it misses badly. That will be even more telling. But we all know you don't have the nerve or confidence to be exposed on video.
