No bar, no pinball machines, no bowling alleys, just pool....nothing else. This is Bill's Recreation mister.
Several years ago I had a student call from the western suburbs of Detroit. I had given him one lesson on his home table, which was an 8' table. He then wanted a lesson on a 10' table. Bill's Recreation filled the bill! I remember feeling a little strange with us being the only two white guys in the joint! Tony was very nice to us, and we did a great lesson on an old Brunswick 10' table.

This article must be a bit of a euphemism or play on words. A quick google yielded the top ten pool rooms in Detroit. Both of the rooms you mentioned still seem to be alive.
