Banging Cues...on purpose...what to do?

What would you do?

What would I do????

NOTHING.

It's his business how he treats his cues.

I could care less.

If the circus act is bothering me so much I'd just move to another table, let the man do his thing, whatever it may be.
It's between him and his cues.....lol
End of story.

You "could care less"?

Long Epistle (sorry)

It would seem the issue is not the actions of the people involved as much as it is the fact that the actions took place in a private arena, using private equipment, in front of a public crowd that had certainly not payed to witness or endure the spectical.
Hey, you want to beat the shit out of your parents furniture in the privacy of your own home, be my guest.
Hell make a video. Hell post the video. People are alway ready to watch other people being stupid WITH THEIR OWN PROPERTY!
YOU DON'T DO IT WITH EQUIPMENT THAT BELONGS TO OTHER PEOPLE!
Pool halls I grew up in that behavior would have got me ***** slapped till my dog was dizzy. Then I would have been banned for a good part of my young life.
Bad, ignorant behavior was neither ignored nor tolerated.
I certainly understand that we have moved past the point of arbitrarily administering corporal punishment (especially to someone 6'5" tall with some drug induced attitude). That should be left to the people with authority. Children lacking good sense or guidance in behavioral matters can certainly be addressed about the consequences of their actions with some semblance of tact and common sense.
I just had to call out six drunken college yahoos who had decided to stop using cues but rather would just throw the balls at the rails as hard as they could, from various angles just to watch a collision sport, balls in the air, balls flying off the table. Just great fun. I very nicely pointed out to them that the table and the balls were indeed equipment that belonged to someone else, was used by a great number of aficionados on a daily basis and were actually rather easily damaged. I watched as the light slowly dawned on them.
Then I told them to "KNOCK IT THE F**K OFF!
The rest of the lights went on. Apparently if you are a 68 yr old Grandpa looking SOB with an attitude you can still command some attention.
Point made. Apologies around.
Long story, sorry, but my point is simply that looking the other way and telling yourself that it is not my problem simply makes you part of the problem. Live and let live, but when your gut starts talking to you listen.

Typical reaction??

Go ahead, then. Start a fight. That's what you'll get from crazy people. I've stood up to people like that before. I stopped because I got tired of having my life threatened. They're wacko. Wacko people will always take things the absolute worst way. If you're going to stand up to them, then you'd better be ready for violence.

No, management doesn't have to see, depending on where the table is, how crowded the room is and how loud the music is. That information wasn't provided in the original post.

So you believe the only two options are to blame the management and stop giving them your business, or start a fight with the "bangers"? You sound like the crazy one.

May I suggest that you read more slowly. Fran was not advocating starting a fight.

I know that. Her first post was to leave the place because management wouldn't correct it. After I said "typical reaction" she sarcastically told me to go ahead and start a fight with them.

I believe (as the OP has demonstrated) that there are more ways to handle the situation than by leaving or fighting.
