The Van Boening vs. Pagulayan match lasted 2 hours and 20 minutes, so if it starts at 9:30am it will run until about 11:50am. But the Orcollo/Kiamco match was less than half that long, so it should finish in time for the 1:00 final.

Did guys like Hohman, Schmidt, and Harriman enter this tournament? SVB and Orcullo are obviously great players, but I'm a bit surprised that both of them made the finals considered this isn't a game they prefer to play

Schmidt and Harriman, no.

Hohmann, yes, finishing in 9th/12th place after being knocked out by Immonen, who was then knocked out by Pagulayan, who was then knocked out by Van Boening.

Thanks for the info. I can't seem to find any brackets.

Thanks for the breakdown. I wonder why the field was so small?

much thanks - did the round of 16 get a payout?

congrats to everyone who played btw

Nope, zippo:

1st -- $7,200 (Orcollo)

2nd -- $4,500 (Van Boening)

3rd/4th -- $2,500 (Pagulayan, Kiamco)

5th/8th -- $1,000 (Immonen, Barouty, Jewett, Madenjian)

Would anyone have guessed that Hohmann would finish out of the money in a 14.1 event?

Us open straight pool

CSI is glad to have been a sponsor of the US Open Straight Pool Champioship.

Smaller field then expected- but good quality.
We added the full $10,000 added to support the players.

We had fun. The players had fun. The spectators had fun.
A lot of players missed a good payout. (We added $500 per player)

Wait till next year!!!
