$1000 max, what's your playing cue?

Jeff Olney. Best bang for your buck bar none. All of my Olneys new, were under a grand with 2 shafts. You'll have to buy a used one or wait 5-7 years.

Why does it take so long for a custom?
Is this just a hobby for Jeff or?

Mezz AXI-K for less than 500bux. Spend the rest on pool time, steak and some good bourbon. ;) Really nice cues.

Michael Webb Custom Cue second or third hand. His cues are AWESOME...

I’m playing with a Joey currently, well under 1k. Considering a sugar tree as well. Josey and bluegrass coming soon.

Scruggs Sneaky Pete......wood to wood joint or ivory and the ivory version
has been listed on Az before too. Otherwise, a previously owned Bob Owen.

i am playing with a cheap mc dermott star cue

i bought 5 of them and they all play good

it was not my intention to play it
i bought for the grandkids but they play great

MCDERMOTT D and E from the 90s...HAD A FEW HIGH END CUES BUT THESE PLAY TITS FOR ME...

Play mostly with a 1973 Meucci I bought in 1978 for 75.00. I've had Palmers, other Meuccis, a Rambow, a Joss, a Tillis and a Tad and nothing hits balls better and very few even as well.

1000 is just my budget if I want a playing cue, if you dont require anything fancy.

I had my first Rick Howard 6pointer for less than 1000 and I dont think any cue can beat that in terms of playability.

Joey cues are solid also, probly my first choice when come to plain janes. amazing shafts

another vote for Jeff Olney cues.

you can get a merry widow on the secondary market for approx $400 or with points, veneers and some inlays for under $1000. The end result with be very similar to a SW playability-wise.

His cues remain the best bang for the buck, imo.

best,
brian kc
