This cue is just stunning and I had to get some photos of it right when I opened it. I was just floored how nice the copper looks in the rings and the handle. To my knowledge Pete is the only one doing this "weave" in the handle with different metals (sterling silver and copper). This is also the first one he has done with copper and it just pops off of the Ebony handle.

That is incredible!!! I wonder how copper reacts long term? I have no opinion, just not a material I have seen used much in the cue industry over the years.

Thanks

Copper will hold up just like all the rest of the metals. Once a metal is polished and sealed with a high quality finish the atmosphere has little effect on it to oxidize the surface.

Nice looking cue. This weave look has been around for a long time. Bob Manzino, who is a master at working precious metals, was doing this maybe 10 years ago, or longer. The cue that comes to mind was one commissioned by collector Tony Martino, and was part of his Tuxedo Collection. Jaw dropping work. He's not the only one either.

Regarding copper as an inlay, Bob Manzino, Rick Chudy, TW, Andy Gilbert and others have all used it for some time as well.
