Fargo Breakdown - Singles @ BCAPL Nationals

Now I have no idea what an ISPA 6 means, but Randy Hanson is also a 6. Randy has a FargoRate of 650, non established and I know how well he plays. Here is the advanced/masters list for Iowa http://nebula.wsimg.com/0077ed3b571...824B1AF4EE3D6D394&disposition=0&alloworigin=1

Jerrod Frideres is a 6 and he is an established 686.

Just a couple of names I know.

So are you Troy Honeycutt?

You mean this one? where Dave Matlock and Alex Olinger finished 17-24?

Two of my kids went to GC, and I must have missed you at Rabbit's tavern...

I work in IT at the College. Rabbits...that's where I cut my teeth...Good Crazy environment. lol.

Yes, that's the one. My claim to fame. So...I guess 625 isn't so bad then?

Be happy they didn't make you a 675 - master ranking. Cause my guess is that you are closer to 675 (if not above) than you are to 625

Many of these players are in the 700s. Yes one pocket but still must be able to put the ball in the hole.

Here you were an intermediate player back in 2007

Here you are listed as a master single in Iowa

I certainly feel like i will do better on diamonds than with that fat cue ball that always gives me headaches. And the onepocket. I signed up early to make sure it got enough players and you should have heard all the commotion about how I shouldn't have even been allowed to play. (because I don't play well enough)..... I did though and enjoyed the experience. :) According to the chart that started this thread... 626 and 675 would be the same.

This year with the % breakdown. But I can bet there is less of a difference in skill in the upper bracket between the players than there will be in the bracket below.

Times have changed. You used to be able to play as an 'open' player until you cashed high enough, no matter your skill level as long as you weren't a pro. Than the year of the Taiwanese pros came where the BCAPL took an email from their representative as word that they were all 'open' players when in fact they were top tier pros. A little Google would have avoided that. So where are where we are now. Players like you Troy don't get the gravy train their first year of participation if you have any 'known' history.

Vernon Elliot was right...

Just because you are unknown doesn't mean you can't take the money.

:)

Nobody

PS: I honestly believe that there should only be three divisions:

1: PROS
2: SHORTSTOPS
3: LAMBS

Thank you

That looks better than what my buddy cardiac kid was reporting. :)

There are several players with a 0 Fargo rating in the list. I'm assuming they will be given a normal starting rating, but that could adjust the ranges slightly.

Even though the deadline has passed the numbers will continue to climb slowly.

Here are the latest UNOFFICIAL numbers for 8-ball singles.

Interesting if they include unrated 525s in the silver division. Of course some of them will actually be less than 525 but there will be a few monsters.

Damn I knew I should have blown off that BCA tourney I won. I was a 613 before that lol.

I didn't realize 8 ball would be 70% more popular than 9 ball.
I thought more people enjoyed playing 9 ball than 8 ball, I was wrong.

You need to work on your math skills. This would make it over 300% more popular.

And it probably has a lot to do when (dates) the tournaments take place along with the popularity of the game.
