Tommie was a friend of mine......
He was in poor health and you took advantage of the guy.
Others have posted that he wasnt the only one.
I have been done the same way with John Showman.
For my brothers here, I just dont want that to happen to them. Even worse is posting anything to do with Tommie after how you treated him is in poor taste.

Ken and pred. What is your guy's problem. Ken, Tommie had alot of friends, Jim was one of them. Tommie got his cue didn't he? Did Tommie have something different to say about jim? Jim treats everyone with respect and kindness. But will stick up for himself as nessisary. You don't know what Tommie and Jim talked about. If Jim doesn't owe you u a cue then you have nothing to say. He is done making new cues so none of ur friends will hve to worry about Jim eather.
Pred. Jim has never taken 400 down payment on a cue. Also if he did their should be emails or chat that show this. So if that's the case please copy paste the email or text of you and Jims deal,for a cue. I have my email with the laid out details on my cue and what I paid for a down payment. As I am not upset with Jim I will not post our deal. If you have proof show it. If you don't then go back to npr and deal with sold or willydog.
I ordered my cue with Jim many years ago. I lost contact with him due to his health and they way people treated him on here. Yes I will admit this let to some frustration on my end. Yes I have posted about jim. But I got back in contact with Jim several years ago. We have talked about my post and how we each feel. You know being grownups about the situation. Jim is sick. He has what I lost my mom too. He is doing his best to get the cues done. I be leave he will fill all orders.
Jim is an outstanding guy who worries about these cues day in and day out. I think it is the sole reason he can't sleep. This has adverse affects on his health. So by trashing him on here when he just wants to share old pics of cues he has worked n to get his spirt back is just a child ish.
I be leave him when he says he is in contact with all people he owes cues with. Shit happens in this world and it doesn't always go as planned. So have some patient's with jim. I don't know about you guys but I would much rather have a cue maker and friend around then have a cue.

Would you be willing to cover his $100 he owes my friend Shawn for the deposit on a cue that was never made or even started from years ago? Let me know and I will see if he has paypal. If not, I do have paypal and can get it to him so he can be done with this topic.
Did you ever finish Gotulane's cue, or are we still working on this 10 year project?

He cancelled his order because YOU lied to him over and over and over. You told him the parts were all cut ready for assembly and the cue would be done any day now. You used that excuse for weeks and weeks and weeks. We asked for a picture multiple times (as we had the suspicion you were lying and that it wasn't ready or possibly even started). You failed to provide him with 1 picture throughout this whole process so unfortunately he had to cancel. You post pictures on this site so we knew if you were telling the truth you would be able to post 1 picture showing any type of proof that it even existed or even started and yet you refused to do so.
The right thing to do would be to send him back his $100 and you know it. It was his first custom cue experience and it was awful. Like I said (plenty of times now) that the health issue is nobody's business. However, if you are unable to make the cue even in a general time frame promised then you should have told him this was the case so he could decide if he wanted to wait, or look elsewhere.

After all of the people that didn't get a cue and/or was out of money, I can only see this post as doing one thing or one purpose. This is rubbing it in the faces of the people that were not made whole.
Health is health and should never be confused with business ethics. If you accept money to build a cue for a customer, you have two clear options, build the cue or return the money. Stuff does come up in life but you also have to honor your obligations in some form or another. This was not the case in this situation.
Good luck ever getting anybody to trust you or your word again. You had that established once then threw it all away. You are simply not a man of your word or you would be doing something to right the wrongs. You have had plenty of time and chances. You even broke your own deadline that YOU set.

I'm the person Spimp is referring to regarding the $100 deposit. I don't recall ever cancelling the cue but just accepting the fact that I was never going to see that $100 back based on all the other people that were getting screwed over. So yes Jim, I would like the $100 back that you owe me for never completing a cue. And seeing as how you quoted me 4 - 6 months to build and it was probably close to 18 months before I learned that I was probably not going to get anything out of you I gave up. But since you have reared your ugly head in here again I'm speaking up. OR keep my $100 and get the F' out of this forum for good you lousy POS!
So basically what you are saying is that nobody can cancel an order to get their deposit back even though you repeatedly lie about the cue's status when asked about it. You were out $0 on his order so why couldn't he cancel to get his money back?
IF you supposedly had done any work on his cue, and I mean ANY work at all you could have easily sent him 1 stinking picture for proof....but of course since you obviously lied about the status of his cue saying all the parts and pieces were cut ready for assembly when you hadn't even started it yet of course 18 months later he wanted to just be done with it.

Finally, he got fed up since you were lying to him repeatedly and wanted to be done with it so he could get a cue made elsewhere.

You can try to play the victim card all you want with your posts but hopefully everyone will see through your BS. I've talked to multiple people (cue makers and regular members on here) via PM and they agree with me in terms of their dealings with you. Just do the right thing and refund him the $100. You were out $0 on that order.
