What cues are on your "must collect" list?

I dont know how many cues Bill Schick made over the years, but he is my favorite cuemaker.

I like his diversity in his cues, and when you set one of his next to any other cue, its obvious why he is my favorite cuemaker.

You coulda had on one of the rarest cues Bill made... It's gone now but I'd of liked you to have it... It's in a good home though. :)

I'm not a collector, but, if I were, I'd be trying to get my hands on big cues by this this first wave of Chinese custom cue makers.

Timing my friend, timing.

Like many cars, women, guns and yes cues too, the timing is important.

I like that cue also.

Don't have much of a wish list anymore but I do covet the Paul Fanelli ebony/curly maple/snakewood cue shown by Joe on classicues.com.

I've always admired the three twisted sister cues done by Samsara back in the 90s. I'm working with Jim and Dave on a version of one now to be done in ebony with a piece or two of my own red amboyna burl I've had sitting around here for some time.

Another follow-up cue to the Gatsby to be done by Bob Manzino. Project name Chama, it will again take Bob in another direction. A southwest design that will be inspired by the work of a northern New Mexico artist known for unique geometric sculptured art. Hence the name Chama.

Blackpearl makes some awesome burl and ebony cues. I would love to own one someday.

For me, the above list is to add to the collection. I hope to end the cue collecting with one of each. It will take me some time, but I will eventually get there.

Wienstock is a custom. The rest are production. These are cues that i have encountered ove the course of my life that made an impact on me. I cut my teeth on Mcdermott Cues so i will always have a love of their early more traditional cue lines.

There is a fantastic Klein on Ebay which has been languishing.... and the price has lowered over the past 3 weeks. I have been watching it.

Burton Spain blank and leather and Ivor*&%$^!!!!!!!

If that link does not work it is auction 142114723565

I see it just ended.. but that does not mean it sold and he's been lowerring from $1800 if I recall... down to $1100.

See if you can make a deal. Now is the time.. I am tapped out or I would get it.

I accidentally bought a Scruggs last week. Certainly did not plan that. You know how it goes.

Almost every old McDermott that I've ever seen played well, even for production cues.

I have a mint C-14 that I bought new in 1985 and it is one of the best playing cues I've ever played with. I was using a custom cue that I had Richard Black make for me when I bought the C-14 and I played with the McDermott and I thought it played better. I sold the Black and didn't look back.

I have turned down numerous offers to sell it and the last offer was for 10 times what it cost me new. Some people will say I should have sold it, but I don't buy cues to sell, I buy them to play with.

Here is a link showing it after I got it refinished.

I have a RS-11 McDermott that plays pretty well, too. It is the cue that C.J. Wiley used to beat Earl Strickland in the finals of the 1996 Million Dollar Challenge Tournament. The same tournament where Earl ran the 11 racks in a row to win the million dollars on the previous day.

Here is a link showing it being used in the tournament. It was used for one tournament only and it won the tournament (with a little help from C.J.). :)

Just one...
The Richard Benson cue stolen from.me many years ago.. It previously was owned by Omaha John Shuput.
Originally it had 4 shafts. The theif only took 2. It had a light tan wrap with the initials JCS on the butt

I'm not just looking for any Klien, though. That one is neat on the spain blank, but it's more plain than what I'd want from him.

What a shame......to use a Spain Blank and have it sell for a grand. Guess that blank shoulda went to another shop?

My tastes are rather simple, and my budget is dwarfed by many here.

I want a Schon, Mezz, Pechauer, Samisara, and Joss, all around 19.5 to 21 ounces, and all fairly plain models. I don't like a "busy" looking cue. Merry widows, beautiful wood grains, with maybe a leather wrap on a few of them.

If I had to choose (and had the means to acquire) higher end cues, an original Bushka to go with the Adam replica I have, a Southwest, a Runde, and a Black Boar.
