Con grats To Jayson Shaw

Best shot maker in the game today and has really matured as a complete player. A threat to beat anyone at anytime. Only guy I ever saw make balls like Jayson was Louie Roberts. He actually cut the balls better than Jayson, but didn't move the cue ball as well. There were no jump cues in Louie's era, but he could jump with his playing cue and had a vicious masse shot.

great analogy, Jay.
What little video exists of Louie only offers a glimpse into what his legend created.
I so wish there was more.

He rubbed me the wrong way when I met him...and no, I didn't approach him or instigate anything. Not upset he didn't go all the way. That said, I'm sure he'll get there eventually.

Shaw was my pick to win. He came close.
Can't go wrong with a SVB victory.

Yes, I agree. If it couldn't be Shane, I was also pulling for Jayson. In fact, I would have loved to have seen a Shane v. Jayson finals. Much respect, though, goes out to Jung-Lin Chang. His performance all the way to the hot seat was impressive.

He has definitely improved his shot selection and knowing when to play a safety at key times. It must be much harder to play a safety when you have that type of firepower. He definitely played some game winning safeties throughout the tournament.

When he pounded in that 2 ball, corner to corner, from deep in the jaws, and got his next ball open, out of a mess, I thought there was no way anyone else can win. Spectacular! Love to watch him play!

If only there were pure shooting contest or speed pool (which died a natural death), he would nail those:D
